I am so glad I made the decision to hire Alan as my lawyer for my divorce. He helped me understand what the process was, what my rights were. Alan guided me through the tough, scary process that can happen during a divorce. I recommend him, and know you will be in good hands with Alan and his entire staff. The entire staff is wonderful.

Alan and his team assisted my family in a unique situation for a stepparent adoption. He was creative, poised, moral, and made the right decisions in the moment. He was honest with us when we weren't sure how the situation would end and he supported us in pressing forward. In the end, we were successful and our family is forever changed. I highly recommend Lana Pendoski and her firm, Newton Becker Bouwkamp Pendoski. Lana has been key in the good outcomes I have had with very difficult child custody and child support issues over the past couple of years. The paralegals and other staff members have always been very helpful and pleasant to work with. Attorney Alan Bouwkamp covered for Lana, effectively and without hesitation, over a Christmas Break when I needed help and Lana was on vacation. I have been very happy with Lana’s legal representation.

Do your research before hiring. I hired a small town lawyer and received better service at a fraction of what this group charged me. I learned a very expensive lesson.

He is not a truthful individual and does not keep you in the loop

I have worked with Lana at Newton Becker Bowkamp on my divorce case of and on over the past few years and I think the world of her professionalism, her guidance and probably most importantly, her acute insight for the law, and how it applies to my case. She has always been spot on with her guidance and fair, even when telling me things that I didn't necessarily want to hear. If you are looking for a firm to "punish" your ex, this is probably not the right group for you, but if you are looking for someone that will help guide you to a fair settlement and treatment, then I don't think you could possibly find a better group of attorneys. And for the record, I have NEVER been overcharged/over billed.

Alan is a good man. He put a lot of time and effort into my case. He is a lawyer that keeps you informed and works with you very well. Not once did I feel out of the loop. He was a strong advocate for me in court.

This firm will run your bill through the roof and leave you hanging. I wanted an attorney that I felt was on my team and most of the time I felt these people were against me in my divorce. They talk big, deliver little and bill you like crazy. I HIGHLY suspect they are overbilling. BEWARE
