Is doing a great job on our, case.

I had Courtney as a public defender. My ex had moved away and got a job at a nationwide franchise. She told the people at the same franchise here in town to watch for me to shop. When I did shop there they called her and she drove 2 counties to get the girl working to say I called her a thief. She was the only witness and Courtney showed me the video and there was nothing there. I assumed nothing would come of because she told me not to worry. She would not use evidence I provided for her and wouldn't communicate. She finally sent me a copy of my ex's illiterate deposition against me and said it didn't look good for us and recommended me to go do the maximum 6 months for nothing. Said that was all she could do. I fired her and gave an attorney from Indy 3000dollars, I had to borrow. He called me back and let me know they had no case because the only witness against me had missed 3 depositions and Courtney didn't tell me. She worked at the prosecutors office for a while and was literally helping the state to put me up for 170 days. Was in pajamas at our first meeting. Then never met with her again. And when it got dismissed judge Williams who's supposed to be unbiased kept letting the prosecution know they didn't have to drop it letting them know he's gonna burn me for em. Now I understand why so many people can't stand the guy. He's a bully. I don't know how this whole prosecution ran system doesn't end up on dateline. She'll roll over on ya. Do not hire Courtney. Totally inadequate defense. I've heard she has some good qualities. Actually several people know about her good qualities. They've told me. I still can't recommend Courtney. She's in our local, " us vs them", club. Poor folks don't have a chance because these guys are making serious money. incarceration makes money. Sooner or later this whole mess will be exposed.

I've had Courtney as my attorney on a few cases, and both times I was very pleased with the outcome. She is dedicated,hard working, fights for what you want, and actually listens to her clients needs and wants. I was very happy with it all. Highly recommend her.

She does not return phone calls, she does not return emails. She does not do anything to work on your case. I experienced it personally—first hand, I’ve also heard from a reliable source within the community corrections department in Morgan County she has a reputation for that. I drove 35 minutes for an appearance one day when she was my attorney—she never showed. The prosecutors seemed to be pretty annoyed with her that day, as well as the judge. If she does reply she replies two words, and you have to hound her to get that. Her door is never unlocked to just walk in, and she doesn’t ever answer her phone. My case was something simple, minor and a quick easy one…and she couldn’t even handle that properly. Save yourself and hire a different attorney. She does nothing except cash your check and then she’s basically done with you except for the minimum the court requires. I’m considering reporting her to the Indiana State Bar Association for not communicating with a client. I have evidence to back this up. She’s terrible. Don’t put an important case in your life on her desk. Sorry Courtney—learn to communicate with your clients as required by law. Very unhappy with how things turned out and how I was represented.
