I can’t imagine choosing him as your attorney could possibly be a mistake. He handled my entire case with little to no effort on my part. Explained everything to me until he was certain I understood. Never once made me feel ashamed for needing to seek his legal representation. Ps, I didn’t actually meet him until day of court. I’m from out of state and had a pressing time line. Above and beyond service. Worth every penny. I’d give more stars if I could. Simply put-some are trained, some have a niche. Mr Mastison seems to have a niche!

I came to josh at a time where I was concerned and scared. Josh was very informative, easing my mind. He explained every step and answered any and all questions I had. After my case, I reached out to Josh and he was still helpful. I would highly recommend Joshua Mastison.

We found Mr. Mastison through Melife Legal Plans. I called for about two weeks not realizing that only he answers the phone. I finally left a vm and he did call back same day. He seemed very reluctant to meet in person, I assured him we had been fully vaccinated and would wear a mask (thinking his reluctance was due to covid) He set an appt with us for two months out. He wanted us to send our previous wills to him via email I did. We took off work the day of the appt, showed up promptly at our appointment time only to find the door locked. I checked my email to make sure he had not sent an email that morning cancelling. He had not. I called and he answered and came to the door. He told us he wouldn't meet with us. He said he sent an email (which he had not) He said he wanted to be completely honest about why he didn't want to meet with us even though he had set the appt and requested our personal information. His reasoning...he had a flat tire that morning, had to borrow a family members car and had to pick his children up later. No regard for the time and money it cost us to take off work and drive there. We don't live in the same city his practice is. He said "if" we want to reschedule it would be a month out. Keep in mind we had already waited two months. I would never do business with him, nor could I in good conscience recommend him. I am very concerned about him having all of our personal information that he requested.

I was very fortunate to have Josh Mastison as my attorney. He helped me feel secure with my case and helped me with my many questions. He was patient with me the entire way and helped me get an outcome for my case for which I originally did not see myself having. Thanks for all your help Josh!

I found Mastison through Hyatt Legal plans and he helped me with my legal guardianship of my grandchild. This was a painful experience, for all, but we sailed through the legalities and closed that chapter. I went back to his law office many times in the last 2 years: for legal advice, support, representation and was never disappointed. It helps to have a friendly voice of reason who understands the law and how to apply that knowledge.

I have been through two other attorneys over the years before hiring Josh, and he has a client for life now. It was a very emotional and stressful time for me and I had never actually went to court regarding my divorce or custody issues, it was always settled out of court and I often felt bullied. Josh gave me the strength and helped me through the whole process. We went to court for the first time and everything went in our favor 100%! It was a potentially bad situation but with his preparation and skill we came out well ahead and so happy that we went to court. Hopefully the bullying will cease and my situation is so much better for my child and I. Before the other lawyers urged me to not go to court and to settle, but with the clear pattern of bullying and litigation, he convinced me this might be the best move and it was! He was always quick to reply to my phone calls and messages.

Found him to be very uncaring, vain and inexperienced. Had to do "research" on child custody laws which we found odd since his is a family law attorney; and yes, we were billed for his "research" at $175 per hour! He took extended amounts of time to prepare any document only to find most were inadequate per the courts/opposite attorney and of course, we were charged for it including him filing incorrect paperwork. We fired him and hired a new attorney due to his actions. Would not recommend for anyone needing an attorney with the family courts.

Has helped me with some real estate deals. Is now working with me on an estate/guardianship issue. He has always been very available to me throughout all of our dealings. Not only is he professional and represents you well on a professional level, as a person he was always concerned about me and how I was doing through the process.

Choosing Josh to represent me was an easy decision. He's very professional, well educated and an all around nice guy. His welcoming personality helped me feel at ease when I was working through a difficult situation. He explained legal terms to me in a way that I could actually understand. We communicated via email most of the time, which was perfect for my schedule, but he was always accommodating when I wanted to meet in person. Overall, despite being in an uncomfortable situation, Josh Mastison was an excellent lawyer for me.

Even though I didn't directly work with Josh, but his professionalism, honesty, and willingness to always be there for his client was always visible through my daughter. She felt very comfortable with Josh and went into her court hearing better prepared and more comfortable. She was able to testify better because of her confidence in Josh. Josh did a very good job representing my daughter and I would recommend him to anyone.

Josh Mastison is a fantastic lawyer and a pillar of the community in Southern Indiana. Josh has helped us out with many complex legal issues and was especially skilled in helping us with the start up and continued operation of our small business. Helping us with everything from constructing contracts to government regulations. Josh is also highly skilled in estate planning and has done so for our families. We have also referred associates to Josh for their mediation needs and have heard nothing but good things back. Mastison Law & Mediation certainly comes highly recommended.
