I don't know about Schroeder, but Clark is worthless. We started a custody case, gave him $2500 for the retainer and started giving him our paperwork, which includes five years of tax info for him to copy. Well, it's now EIGHT MONTHS LATER and we can't get a hold of the guy. He hasn't contacted us since September (5 months ago). We've called him, emailed him, and have gone to the office, all multiple times. On one trip to the office, his partner tried to look our file up in their system. WE WEREN'T IN THERE!! We got a new lawyer, and she couldn't find any evidence in the court system that Clark finished the one task we thought he had accomplished. We had to completely start over, eight months late and already $2500 in the hole!! So, if you want a lawyer that takes your money in return for holding up your custody case, avoiding you, and pretty much stealing your documents, Clark is totally your guy.

I hired Mike to represent me for a low level misdemeanor charge. He was extremely difficult to get ahold of. I'd schedule a phone conference with him via the secretary and he would never call me. I'd have to call them and sit on hold for ten minutes waiting for him. He was very good at dodging questions and giving unclear answers. He was completely ineffective at negotiating a plea agreement with the county attorneys office. I was never able to get clear answers as to what strategies he used or tried with the county attorneys office. Nor could I ever get detailed information on how many times he talked to them and what was discussed. Due to financial issues, (he shouldve been fired) I was forced to plead guilty to a charge with serious lifetime repercussions with no plea agreement and face a judge at open sentencing facing the maximum possible fines and jail sentence. He showed up to my sentencing wearing a shirt and tie while I was in a business suit. The guilty plea he drafted had errors in it that I found out about from the sentencing judge. My biggest regret ever is hiring him and not finding someone better in the first place. Local attorneys I spoke with in town recommended him; but there has to be better.
