I was referred to Dana by other professionals who work in the legal system and I can see why. This was my first divorce and Dana made the transition extremely smooth. Whenever I had questions, Dana was prompt in her response and took the time to explain the things I did not understand. Definitely a great divorce lawyer and I recommend her for anyone who is seeking a divorce attorney.

Fairly new to the Linn County area looking for a family lawyer about terminating the rights of the mother of my son that has not seen him an almost 3 years and when she was around she would always use our son as a pawn in chess to see what else she could get or damage she could cause. Dana handled my case brilliantly and was extremely knowledgeable answered all the questions I had letting me know what I could or couldn't do and what was possibly attainable. She succeeded in winning my case and relieved a lot of stress off not just my shoulders but my sons as well. I would Highly Recommend Dana to Anyone in need of a lawyer.

My attorney Dana was horrible. Agreed to pay for things to the opposing attorney without my permission. Said unprofessional things like “you don’t have to like it” Did NOT receive itemization of my final bill. Constantly unprepared or wanting extensions. Would not recommend.

Dana is very knowledgeable on Iowa family law and was great at explaining everything to me on my unique divorce and custody case. She ALWAYS kept the children's best interests in mind and advocated for them. Fantastic to work with. Highly recommend!

Expensive, slow, not responsive

Dana helped us with an adoption. She was very accessible, clear and made the process feel very safe. Dana guided us every step of the way and was very informative about the process and delivered results. We are so appreciative to have hired her and will be forever grateful to her!

When I found myself in the difficult and surprising position of filing for divorce, Dana was my first and only call. She is kind, yet firm, compassionate and understanding, but also fair and focused on getting you to the finish line. My amicable ex was pro se and she made sure he understood everything that was happening. We settled quickly and quietly with no drama whatsoever. I attribute this to Dana’s cool and collected lawyering. She is able to be your advocate without completely eviscerating your ex. This was very important to me. In these trying times when it seems like the world is collapsing around us, she can be your life boat. And she does it with a smile on her face and your best interests in the forefront always.
