Before I payed for a lawyer I read several reviews from several different lawyers in the area and Scott’s seemed to be the bast and maybe that’s because clients were able to be there face to face and that was not my case! I was represented by Scott for over a year living 4 hrs away in a different state! I told him I wanted to find out if I’m the father then move forward based on the results. He took it into his own hands to disestablish paternity instead of establishing paternity and I did not know wording means EVERYTHING. so after several months (and the mother contempting court and they did nothing about it) we finally got the DNA test done and the child is mine but due to Scott disestablishing paternity to the court he needed me to send him more money to move forward with getting me any rights to my son. (To change some wording in the court system) Now I am low income family and I spent months saving just to get this lawyer so the fact that I need to come up with ANOTHER 3000 just to continue my case just to get a parenting schedule is ridiculous. Not only that but he rounded up on child support forms so I was due to pay more then what I am now when her lawyer lowered the amount significantly! He could never answer my questions and was like he was NEVER on my side and rushing me over the phone. So not only did I waste my money trying to do the right thing as a father but I lost all hope that I could get some legal help to get rights of my son any time soon. There are so many thing scott could have done differently as MY lawyer but failed to! I wish I knew during this case what I know now because I would have asked and demanded more as HE WAS WORKING FOR ME and not the other way around. Not only all that but the man didn’t even know how to spell my name correctly! I am so disappointed in the outcome and after the fact he made it seem like I didn’t want to move forward with the case when I fact he stole all my money and did nothing for me.
