Barbara E was the kindest and most compassionate person I have spoken to in a very long time. She spent her valuable time helping me during a most trying period of my life. Her sincerity was genuine, not like 98% of those I speak to daily in this awful state I moved to, because my bad health could not tolerate the cold in Iowa. My experience was not good. My attorney was not aggressive and very reactive, NOT proactive resulting in a lot of issues for child custody, support, etc..I requested the attorney to file motions to counter the other party, never happened, resulting in more legal costs, less time with my kids and loss of assets. Ultimately I ended my contract with Cordell&Cordell. I was not a needy client, but when I did need to speak with attorney, email and phone messages were not responded to in a timely manner (48 hours or longer), despite their voicemail stating that you will receive a response “the next business day” (not true). You can find better representation for less cost with better results. Save your money, you are paying for their advertising, nothing more.

I wholeheartedly endorse Amanda Adams. I am a Tennessee attorney and worked with her on a novel and complicated interstate custody case involving Iowa and Tennessee jurisdiction over children where Ms. Adams and I successfully argued that Tennessee was the “home state” for any litigation regarding two (2) children despite one child living in Iowa for a substantial period and one child being born in Iowa. Ms. Adams’ work ethic, research, and presentation were superlative. I will send anybody needing legal work in Iowa or Illinois to Amanda Adams without hesitation
