Back in 2019 I had my first born, I was a young dumb kid.. I was living in Wyoming, my child’s father lived in Iowa. I had come to visit and while I was here my 3 month old son’s father decided to take him from me. I went into a panic and Stephanie was there. From my first call she fought for me and my wants. We got my son back within 36hrs. From there she checked on me while I was back in Wyoming. Fast forward I decided to move back to Iowa. Stephanie was there with me the whole process. Even when my wants were far fetched she would tell me what was responsible for the time being and what steps we could take. She listened to everything and for once she actually heard me and my wants. Fast forward I got married and my sons father just kinda disappeared so Stephanie helped us getting through the process of adoption. I couldn’t be more thankful. She comforted me and listened.. she went above and beyond the suit and paperwork. She is truly there for the family and the best interests of the child.

I retained Stephanie when filing for divorce back in April of 2020. Due to Covid, my finalization date was pushed way out to the Fall of 2021. She did an excellent job to guide me through the process and she knew her stuff on a high level. She's professional, responsive and blunt in a beneficial way. She asked how I wanted to go about things while guiding me in the way she thought the court would see fit. She's aggressive yet courteous. Her passion for law helped ensure that my legal needs were met from start to finish. I have two small kids and an ex that has substance abuse and mental health issues and she pushed for what was best for the safety of my kids. My divorce wasn't cheap but it was a battle from start to finish. I can't fully comment on the financial end because I'm not sure how her prices compare to others in town. I just know what I paid was more than worth it. I can't imagine having any one else as a attorney besides her.

I couldn't be happier with the choice of hiring Stephanie for the custody modification needed. She is not only compassionate and empathetic, taking the time to really get to know every detail of the case and listen thoroughly, she is also very aggressive when needed and proactive, seeking the best outcome for my daughter. Stephanie is excellent! Unlike other lawyers I tried to work with, she actually listened to what I had to say and was extremely helpful. She knows the law inside and out. My ex was using drugs, so she ordered a drug test which ultimately he ended up refusing, so it looked just as bad as a fail. Throughout the whole process she kept my childrens' best interest at heart. I could never thank her enough for what she did for my family. I now have primary custody of my children and we couldn't be happier. Stephanie is a fighter and knows the right questions to ask. She's caring, determined, and smart. I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer!

Stephanie was absolutely fantastic! When my ex-wife absconded to Iowa from Arizona, Stephanie helped me regain custody of my children using an emergency order. I first approached her to simply register a foreign custody order in Iowa in accordance with the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA) but Stephanie went above and beyond to learn the details of my case and suggest a better alternative, the emergency order. She was smart, helpful, responsive, and aggressive; everything I could have hoped for and more. She even drove to a court in a different county to meet me and suggested we sue for attorneys fees and travel expenses. We won! It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

My divorce after a 20 year marriage had a lot of moving parts and I was completely impressed with how Stephanie had the capability and capacity to absorb it all. Stephanie is extremely intelligent, honest, dedicated to her clients, knows the law and she is an effective negotiator. But, most importantly, she is compassionate and empathetic. She gets to know her clients, their emotions and all details regarding the case so the client feels understood and heard. My divorce included three children that I love dearly and almost 30 years of farming and a 20 year professional career. We needed to manage custody, alimony, real estate, 401k, investment portfolios, retirement plans, livestock, crops and machinery. I seriously felt Stephanie knew my life and my business almost as well as I did. She came up with custody and financial strategies that I hadn't considered which resulted with a settlement that we could all live with. Stephanie helped me with my divorce/custody battle, which was extremely high conflict. She never stopped fighting for me and my daughter. After 1 1/2 years of false allegations, orders of protection, DCFS and police investigations, she got me sole custody of my daughter. I am extremely grateful for how she defended me through everything and never stopped fighting when the other party did everything in their power to prevent any progress.
