The team at Vaccine Injury Pros was incredible to work with. From day one they were willing to listen to my story and fight for me. They kept me informed every step of the way and were always willing to listen and answer any questions I had. They were amazing and I would fully recommend them to represent you for any vaccine injury you may have suffered.

Richard Moeller and his team at Vaccine Injury Pros are the A-Team of Vaccine Injury Attorneys. I went in to get my seasonal flu shot and immediately upon insertion of the needle I literally screamed out in pain. Probably like yourself, I have had many injections, usually accompanied by mild pain or discomfort but this one was different, something was really wrong. My arm and my shoulder hurt like hell and kept hurting for several days, then months. Upon researching this continuing pain, I realized that this injury was likely SIRVA or a Shoulder Injury Related to Vaccine Administration.Being a lawyer, I conducted some additional research and then contacted Mr. Moeller and his team at Vaccine Injury Pros. They got all my background information and then obtained my medical records from multiple health care providers. My case was not an easy case because some information in the the medical records was not supportive of my claim. Nonetheless, Mr. Moeller and his team zealously represented my interests, consulted outside experts and obtained a very satisfactory settlement despite some difficult facts. Vaccine Injury Pros did not drop my case when confronted with difficult facts, they fought and won for me. I truly appreciate everything that they did for me. I highly recommend their team.

There’s so many positive words to say about Richard Moeller, and his team that consist of Coyreen Weidner, and the legal secretary, Melissa Jones. My initial call was to ask about a flu vaccination that went terribly wrong. Richard was so patient in explaining the legal system to me. He answered my questions and was very understanding of what happened to me. He was very professional and efficient. When he described a timeline of how claims are processed, he was spot on with the timeframe. I never had to call to ask about the status as Richard would call me to update the progress of the claim. This communication was very important to me. It was such a pleasure to work with Melissa Jones, his legal secretary. She was always friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend Richard and his team. The outcome far exceeded my expectations.

Mr. Richard Moeller and his associates represented me well in my vaccine injury case that started in 2018. I first met him when he worked on behalf of my twin brother during his flu vaccine injury claim from 2010- 2013. He would drive several hours to meet with us. He had a calming presence and made an immediate connection with both of us. I worked mostly as an acute care RN in Iowa for over 35 years prior to getting re-married, moving, and accepting a new job at an urban hospital in Kansas. I started that job towards the end of November, 2017. I was "persuaded" to be re-vaccinated with the Hepatitis B series at their facility. I had taken the series in the 1990's at my Iowa hospital. Two days after receiving the third vaccine, I developed red spots on my right hand which spread to both hands, arms, hips, legs, and feet over the next few weeks. Some spots were crusty. I was itchy, uncomfortable , and embarrassed. The creases in my fingers cracked open which was extremely painful. Many spots have left scarring and I have long-term skin issues on my hands even after 5 years. Mr. Moeller and his team worked tirelessly on my case while gathering needed medical records and information. I was followed by my doctors and a highly respected dermatologist in the area who ordered labs and biopsies that showed I had developed Lichen Planus soon after receiving the Hep B series. Mr. Moeller had access to experts and resources to support the evidence. We communicated frequently through emails, phone calls, and video calls. He kept me updated on the process and progress over the course of 5 years. He gently guided me forward even when I was frustrated by the sometimes slow pace of the case. He fought hard for me every step of the way until we had a successful outcome in April, 2023. That hard work and determination was worth it ! Thank you Mr. Moeller for your professionalism, integrity, and unwavering vision throughout this case.

When I injured my back at work, I was struggling to get good care, much less my payments I was supposed to be getting. I tried to navigate the work comp world and much to my dismay, it was a horrible experience. I reached out to Ron and told him what was going on, he listened, he took notes, he advised and was compassionate. I had to also learn how to navigate anxiety at the same time. He was always there to answer all of my questions, trust me I had so many. Ron never got annoyed with me and always helped me to understand the processes of everything. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is in need of a work comp lawyer! He listens and genuinely cares about people. I thank him for absolutely everything he did for me!

I hired Kyle Irvin long distance (1650 miles and sight unseen) to handle a trust for which I was trustee. I was not disappointed. A challenge from one of the beneficiaries made this trust take a turn shortly after it was opened. Kyle was extremely knowledgeable in trusts, and was able to analyze the legal issues involved and express them exceptionally well in both written and oral communications. He was always available by telephone, and was extremely patient answering my questions. When we ended up challenging the lower court's decision to a higher court, I was very impressed with his litigation skills. He displayed a very calm demeanor, yet was extremely fast and credible on his feet.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Sioux City, Iowa?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
