We recently did our estate planning through Pearson Bollman Law and we were extremely satisfied. Chad Eichorn was personable, professional and knowledgeable and took all the time we needed to answer any questions we had, including phone calls we made during the preparation process. Our package included all the important estate documentation every person should have, including a living will, power of attorney, memorial plans etc. We have a new peace of mind knowing our assets and final plans are formalized for our children. They were flexible when we had a schedule conflict for our signing as well. I highly recommend this firm.

Pearson Bollman Law is as trustworthy as they come. Our experience with the team was professional, and Matt - as our legal advisor - throughout the process for our Will was very respectful and gave sound guidance throughout the entire process. Thank-you very much for your help and would recommend this office to anyone for their legal needs!

Matt Bollman gave us the information my family needed, in regard to Medicaid and Trust issues regarding my handicapped sister. He knew exactly what we needed and got it done. I want to thank Matt and his firm for helping us and we will certainly be back when we need them again. Thanks. Sean

Matt Bollman and Pearson Law are the most competent estate planning attorneys In Iowa! They are narrowly focused only in the areas of estate planing and elder law (Medicaid & a little known Veterans benefit for chronic care). Pearson Bollman Law's competence, expertise, values and success is a derivative of being narrowly focused in estate planning and elder law versus other attorneys who inherently become a jack of all trades and a master of none! Matt and his team will customize and build out their client plans from scratch based on their unique situations and goals instead of pulling up an on-line template and inserting their information. I have the utmost confidence in Pearson Bollman law based on my own personal and business experiences! I have witnessed their value and success with me and my family as well as many satisfied clients we have jointly worked with in accomplishing their estate planning goals. I would highly recommend Pearson Bollman Law for your estate planning needs or giving you a second opinion regarding your current documents and plans! It is truly an honor to have them on my team!

We hired Matthew to prepared my parents’ estate plan because he specializes in elder law. We were extremely satisfied with his professional service and highly recommend him. My parents are over 80 years old and Matthew was extremely patient and thorough with them. My parents were extremely comfortable with the whole process as if he were a part of the family. He did the initial consult at my parents’ home, which impressed all of us because his office was over an hour away. My brother and I were also involved in the estate planning process. I have a financial background as a CPA and my brother has a very limited financial background. Matthew was able to work with both of us through the whole estate planning process and was efficient but thorough in answering all of our questions. He was extremely professional as he addressed our questions which ranged from extremely technical to extremely basic. Matthew also responded quickly to our phone calls and emails. The firm site was very comfortable and the support staff was very friendly and professional. Our overall experience with Matthew and his firm was excellent.

Matthew Bollman has been very helpful in answering questions regarding family estate planning. Wording in an irrevocable trust can be complicated when one is wanting to protect their assets should they later need to go into a nursing home. If one is not careful with how they create a trust, their descendants may not get a step-up in basis of the assets that are transferred to them, costing them thousands or millions of dollars come tax time. I appreciate all the help that you have given me for my clients Matt!

Phyllis Pearson and her diligent staff guided our family through the process of securing VA benefits for my mother-in-law, and they also set up a trust for us. All we had to do was provide the necessary documents, and they did the rest. Without Phyllis and her staff we would have never had a successful outcome. They lifted the burden off our shoulders at a very difficult time. It made no difference whether we were meeting with Phyllis in person, or speaking with her by phone, she was always so very knowledgeable, patient, and kind!! There are no words to express our sincere gratitude. Sincerely, Jim and Sandi Miller Urbandale, Iowa

I am an executor for my mother's estate. I contacted Pearson/Bollman and met with them in person (Friday). We went over the details and agreed on the fee. I was supposed to hear from them the following business day (Monday) to get all the signatures to get the documents to court. I haven't heard anything, so Tuesday afternoon I sent a follow up email and haven't heard back. On Wed I called around 1:30pm and was told the the lawyer will call me right back. I haven't heard back that day. So that evening I sent an email saying that I will be finding somebody else to work it, since they are either too busy or not interested. The next day I received an email, stating that they are not interested in my case. I have no problem with them not being interested...after all they get to pick their clients and we get to pick the lawyers. What I can not accept is being told one thing and then being ignored. Seems a little disrespectful to me.

As a medicare insurance broker, many of my clients need to apply for public benefits in order to help finance the cost of their long-term care. Many people don't realize that Medicare only pays for a maximum of 100 days for care in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The attorneys at Pearson Bollman Law are experts in helping individuals through the maze that applying for Medicaid or VA benefits can be. They have helped numerous clients of mine apply for and obtain Medicaid and VA benefits. Pearson Bollman law provides free consultations and will recommend asset preservation strategies that can help a Medicaid applicant preserve and protect a portion of their assets within the proscribed Medicaid rules. Not only will Pearson Bollman Law recommend a variety of asset preservation strategies available to Medicaid applicants but they will help execute those planning strategies AND complete the entire Medicaid application for their clients. I would recommend Pearson Bollman Law to anybody that is dealing with issues related to long-term care.
