They took so much stress off of me. Very helpful and very kind. My lawyer is amazing. He really cares. I can't express how much I appreciate his help.

I'm glad this service is available for those that need it. I don't have a great understanding of how they operate or how they get paid, but as I was trying to help someone else out by contacting them, I found the person that I talked to friendly, patient, and kind - something you don't often find when it comes to state assistance programs. For that woman, I say KUDOS as I can only imagine the stuff she hears in a day on the phone. I'm leaving 3 stars because like any other state assistance program offering, the process is overly bureaucratic and complicated. To get help, you must first fill out an online application and then wait for a phone call. The person calling is not a lawyer, but a screener. They ask many questions (that were already answered on the application) and then tell you that in 5-7 business days that you'll receive a phone call again to let you know if you are eligible for their services. However, don't dare miss that phone call (they don't tell you what day or window or time they may call) because then you have to call them back and be placed in a new queue. The process starts over. Soon, it becomes a game of cat and mouse. So, yes, it's an available system, but the difficulty getting through the initial process is so frustrating that it is hard to gauge how effective or efficient the actual legal advice/action portion goes. We'll see.
