I got into some trouble and realistically could've been looking at 10 or 15 years. Nicholas David fought hard for me. I ended up with only 12 months probation. Even better then that, when I got all my fines paid, Mr David got me an early release from probation after less then 8 months. He's amazing. He takes the time to go over everything with you and answer all of your questions. He even answered the phone himself everytime I called. I honestly felt like he cared what happened to me.

Would not recommend. Tacked on a 600 dollar bill after the court case was over, dragged out court case for almost an entire year and not detailed enough in billing it just says "out of court". When asked for a more detailed itemization of the billing, multiple times, they gave me absolutely no response. I have yet to even receive a copy of the new orders. Additionally, all the money I was awarded in attorneys fees is going straight to them because of the bill that was added on at the end. Never again.

Mr. David was wonderful, very informative, intelligent and responsive. He answered all of my questions, and made me feel comfortable through the whole process of helping my son! Definitely recommend this law firm! I have never felt more at ease when dealing with an attorney as I did with Mr. David!

Michelle David talked to me on the phone for about 45 mins and seemed like a great fit. Within a few days, she had threatened to drop me as a client because she claimed I lied to her about something. I was speechless and had no idea what she was talking about. This happened a couple more times over time. She made my legal situation 10x’s worse because of the stress and trauma of being dropped as a client and not having legal counsel and not having enough money to hire another attorney. I basically felt like I could not ask questions or I would be threatened. It was clear to me that asking too many questions triggered her. Mind you, I only hired her in the first place because she was an alleged expert at dealing with a certain state licensing board. After the actual legal issue came to a resolution, I told her I was transgender in confidence. When I went to meet with my adult probation officer, she asked me if I had changed my name legally or if I was in the process and it caught me off guard and was so embarrassing. I didn’t realize it was my attorneys place to talk about my gender identity to other people. I found this unprofessional, unethical, and hateful. Then when it was time to deal with the licensing issue, she first told me what it would cost and then told me her caseload was too heavy and she wouldn’t be able to help me. It wasn’t until I reached out to her husband and coworker that she sent me a formal letter declining to help me. I believe she dropped me because I am trans. If she cared about the struggles of the lgbtq community, I believe she would have honored her verbal agreement to help me with this licensing matter. Again, I believe she knows this is the only reason I hired her in the first place. I put up with so much erratic and bizarre behavior because I felt I had no other options. Also, her coworker Cooper misgendered me after he knew of my transition.

Nick has now worked with me 2 times and I could not have asked for a better lawyer. He is prompt in communication with both options and strategies. He gives excellent council on choices to make. Over all best lawyer I have had.

John is an incredible attorney who has been honorably serving the citizens of Lawrence for many, many years. Highly recommended.
