I strongly recommend Wilson Elder Law, LLC. Stephanie was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of of estate planning I needed to consider and establishing my Living Trust. I am confident, now, that my estate and health wishes will be administered according to my wishes. I enjoyed each of our meetings as she put me at ease and explained things in "user-friendly" language, not legalese. The highlight of the experience for me (this is my 3rd Living Trust) was that she HELPED me ensure my Living Trust was funded properly, by supplying me with letters to banks and other financial institutions, as well as handling the changes for the deed to my home. I have already recommended her to my family members and a few close friends.

I know the title sounds very overblown, however, I found Stephanie to be an excellent attorney who was extremely knowledgeable about estate planning and setting up my Living Trust. I specifically chose someone who specializes in Elder law because things change rapidly and and I wanted to be sure thework we did was the most current. Her services went above and beyond what other attorneys have given me for similar work. I really appreciated the fact that she HELPED me fund my trust and didn't just tell me I needed to do it. I feel that everything is as I want it and that my estate and health will be handled according to my wishes. One of the best things was her ability to put me at ease, and communicate everything without using legalese. She was also patient when I didn't understand something the first time. Stephanie really knows her stuff! It’s one thing to be generally familiar with estate planning law. It’s something else entirely to know the specifics of special needs law and how trusts must work to avoid causing problems with government benefits, but she has that covered too. She helped us determine what fit us and our family best and wrote our documents very carefully in a way that prevents many potential pitfalls. Her knowledge of who can carry out some of our requirements (trustees, care managers, guardians, etc.) was also of great assistance. Most of all, she truly cared about making sure we had everything set up just right to take care of our adult special needs children long after we’re gone. We have peace of mind knowing that Stephanie wrote our legal documents as if they were for her own child.

Stephanie J Wilson was more than I had expected from any attorney, and I've had experiences with attorneys. She did ALL of our estate planning. Everything we did was so we didn't have to come back to see her to make changes. Only if there are some major changes in our lives would we need to come back. (Some attorneys build their income by having a client returning all the time. She is not one of those). The price was a flat fee with as much time as needed (for 6 months). So, we weren't looking at the clock all of the time. An example of when we may need to see her is as follows: if my husband or I needed to be on Medicaid to protect our assets, she would help with that. We also had a question about doing DNA testing and if my husband were to have a child he knew nothing about, would he be responsible financially. Good question! See Stephanie for the answer! She was flexible, easy-to-talk with, and kind. Most of all, she didn't judge. We've got some sticky situation with our families. So, she helped navigate those situations. Stephanie also has a great sense of humor, which made her even more easy to work with. We had the choice to meet in person or via Zoom, which was very convenient. She also has many contacts in Douglas County, so that part was easy too. 5 stars doesn't quite describe her. I would recommend her to anyone. Her business is Elder Law, and she knows it very well. I can not say enough bad things about my experience with Wilson Elder Law. Quite frankly, we found her rude, arrogant and unprofessional. If you, or a loved one, are looking at moving into a care facility, call the facility first. They maybe able to help you for free. If you need a elder attorney, keep looking.
