Kelli was very helpful from day 1! I was stressed out trying to figure out the whole process of custody and so thankful I found and used her as my attorney! She went over everything and made me feel at ease right away from her explanation of what steps we were going to take to putting it all into motion. She kept me level headed with expectations but also pushed for what was best for the situation. She was very patient and talked through everything step by step. She showed up on time and prepared to each meeting and to court as well as prepping me so I was prepared for each situation that could occur. Her paralegal Heather was excellent as well! She responded to my emails or calls in a timely manner and relayed any extra information that I needed to Kelli. I highly recommend Kelli to anyone! Thank you for making such a stressful time in my life go smoother than I ever expected and handling everything flawlessly!

Going through a divorce was very emotional and I was not always thinking rationally. Kelli knew this and looked out for my best interests. I hired Mrs. Cooper to represent me in my divorce case. Her and her staff are knowledgeable, precise, and helpful. Communication was timely and met all my expectations throughout the process of the case. I feel her value exceeds her "price". I would highly recommend her and her staff. Thank you. UPDATE 2/2/2022: I don't take the edit/update of my initial review lightly... Before I begin, the following is my personal recollection and opinion... For what she was asked to do during her representation of me at the original divorce hearing, She performed her duties well. The reason for this update is to inform potential clients of my experience to date. The original divorce was an amicable split and my ex and I were communicating and hashed out the division of assets and simply had our respective lawyers file the agreement so as to finalize the divorce. In that capacity, I was extremely pleased. Fast forward to 2022 and my ex pursued child support modification. I employed Kelli Cooper and her staff to represent me in this matter since they were familiar with the original filing as well as the fact that at and after the finalization of the divorce she was still listed with the JOCO court system as my legal representation. This resulted in my exes legal representation filing/requesting modification through Kelli Cooper. There are multiple factors in this child support modification filing that made it much more complex than the original divorce filing. In the role of representing me during the modification Kelli Cooper was required to meet with Judge O'Grady and opposing counsel via zoom. The reason for this "meeting" was determine if a trial was necessary. Her representation at this meeting was non existent... Myself and Kelli Cooper were not allowed to verbalize my defense or an understanding of the modification requested. Opposing counsel embarrassed her and myself. At this point, I immediately reached out to Kelli Cooper for explanation of the lack of representation... her response was less than desirable. As the process progressed, Kelli Cooper was outmatched and the level of communication that I was accustomed to was no longer present. As we approached trial, she worked to settle unsuccessfully. At no point, and I want to preface this by saying I am not writing this review because I didn't get a positive outcome, I'm writing this because the outcome was because she was not capable or knowledgeable enough to represent me. As I was saying, at no point did Kelli Cooper instill me with a sense of confidence that she had educated herself or prepare a defense for me. At a pre trial meeting, that I had to request , she was not prepared and was referring to emails and other documentation as we spoke. There was no confident presentation of defense pending a trial at that time. This meeting was scheduled weeks in advance. We did not go to trial, I had no desire to put my adult child on parade in a child support modification. The whole point of hiring Kelli Cooper was to avoid this situation. After I had agreed to settle, I waited 2 weeks for the pending legal documents. I reached out to Kelli Cooper and her staff. I asked for a status update and was informed that they had no updates, I reached out again for an update and received a one word reply-"no". Ten weeks later I received an invoice from Kelli Cooper for payment of $12.50...This Invoice was not prefaced by an update on the status as requested previously. Limited characters per review require a closing. In my opinion, Kelli Cooper is adequate in simple disputes. In a more complex dispute, requiring a higher level of representation, such as mine, she was inadequate. As a consumer, I take responsibility for my choice to purchase her services. Had I read a review such as this one, I would've been better educated and prepared to pursue a higher level of services. Again, this review is my personal opinion. I am responsible for retaining Kelli Cooper after the "red flags". Legal representation is very expensive. Choose wisely
