Shea was the such an amazing attorney during my divorce. She was compassionate with me through the process which is very important when going through a divorce with a child. She always had my best interest at heart but straightforward. She explained how the court would look at matters and always tried to give and explain both sides to how the process worked. She and her team made sure things were handled and processed in a timely manner. I would recommend Shea to anyone, you would be in very Professional and Caring hands.

I worked with Shea Stevens for my Divorce case. Shea Stevens is a talented and diligent lawyer and handled my case as Respondent to a quite contentious lawsuit requesting over half a million dollars . It required an detailed analysis of data and spreadsheets covering a 15 yr. period. She performed a thorough analysis of the data, did extensive research of applicable law, made successful claims to have portions of the claim rejected due to statute of limitations, performed in court in my presence quite professionally, courteously and thoroughly defended our points of law during trial. We won! The court only awarded a few thousands of dollars in judgment. We were both ecstatic! Shea and her team performed flawlessly and in the highest manner. Results speak for themselves... I could not have asked for a better lawyer or more equitable results. Shea in several instances went well above and beyond! I personally respect her to the highest degree and like her as a person as well. I can only say thank you to her for doing such a great job in handling my case and dealing with some severe extenuating circumstances. My wife died during this process, causing me much emotional and financial pain and she did not waver in helping me get though all the issues of that while still dealing with the need for trial preparations etc. Anyone needing legal assistance in her areas of practice would be well advised to retain her services immediately because you won't find anyone better! I originally spoke with Shea regarding her services as a mediator for my divorce. She was helpful in helping me understand her role as mediator vs attorney. Shortly after I called her to discuss options I hired her as an attorney. She kept me informed and updated me on what to expect at all times. I hired Shea after my marriage to my wife broke down following me starting my gender transition. Given the circumstances, my ex was very emotional charged and her demands and crass behavior became very trying as the case developed. Shea was always very respectful towards me, even in the beginning when my physical changes were just starting and it would have been understandable for anyone unfamiliar with me to use the wrong pronouns. She apologized to me personally every time she had to misgender me or use my dead name in court or on legal documents. She also encouraged me to fight for a fair settlement agreement (which was eventually obtained), and reject open-ended legal language.

Shea was aggressive when needed and explained the process to me every step of the way. I struggled at times with my emotions but Shea's knowledge and warm personality pulled me through this very difficult time. The only complaint was that I did not hire her with my first divorce.

I hired Ms. Stevens to represent me in my divorce. After spending almost 6 months racking up billable hours while getting pushed around by opposing counsel I have still yet to see a courtroom, an offer, or even a response from my spouse's side. Ms. Stevens proved to be inept as an attorney in almost every way possible, and I found out this week that she left her position to join the firm we are fighting in my case. She never once mentioned a conflict of interest to me and never notified me at all the she would be joining the other side. I was notified by the firm after she was already gone. I highly recommend seeking legal counsel elsewhere.
