Horrible. Got my money back and went elsewhere. If you want honest reviews go to Avvo for attorney reviews and look at those. I fell for these reviews and didn't see the others unfortunately until after. **Considering it took three weeks to get the petition for divorce in my hands and by that time my spouse had already filed in a three day time frame, no it was not a good fit. I was able to file a response within 24 hours with my new attorney so it worked out although I paid $280 for something I couldn't even use. That equates to a little over an hour spent on my divorce petition between 5/4 the date she received all the paperwork she needed from me and 5/24 the day it was returned with a "oh by the way he has already filed". What attorney takes three full weeks to transfer numbers from one sheet to another? This one. Of course the four or five kids needed looked after the husband was busy, trouble with the paralegal so I guess its excused. 🙄

Im not going to detail every complaint I had, in the end I would just say the same as the other poor reviews. Lots of excuses, no communication. I got my retainer refunded and found someone who actually wanted a client and is actively working on my divorce.

Presented herself as someone who would fight for me in court. Took my money, failed to do her job as my representation. Now I am forced to look for a new attorney almost a year after I struggled to get my self in a position to leave. Worthless attorney do not use her or her firm. Doesn't return calls. The list goes on and on and on.

When we started our process we had no recommendations to start with and started googling family law practices in our area. Believe it or not, that is not an easy find as many did not want to talk to us without the first payment and then when they heard all of the case the fees sky rocketed due to having to post adds and such. Loosing hope slowly we found Lindsee who never questioned being confident in our case and seemed as upset as we were about the others trying to get us for extra fees here and there. She made our experience so easy and quick. We went through the step parent adoption so that my husband is the legal father of my two sons and I was so nervous about the cost, the hassles with having to get in touch with their very non existent bio fathers, embarrassed to have to repeatedly tell the story of my past and Lindsee heard all of my concerns and took them off the table. She was so understanding and encouraging. She had me to tell her my story in detail and then she took over leaving my husband and I with nearly no work to do other than show up and she worked with us on payments. I highly recommended Lindsee.

Lindsee is the most down-to-earth lawyer, compassionate and no-nonsense at the same time.

Every other law organization and practice had rejected me. I was at the end of my rope when I finally followed a referral from a personal friend to Lindsee Acton Scherich. My husband had asked for a divorce and left me to deal with it. I was extremely low income and trying to get on my feet again while also trying to finish my senior year of college. Lindsee actively listened to my situation with genuine interest. She helped me with the divorce paperwork for a very reasonable fee, and stuck with me as I navigated an uncooperative spouse for 18 months. My court date was just a few days after the holidays. I was elated and thankful that Lindsee was attentive to my last-minute questions and responded promptly. Were it not for her advice and compassion, I could not have navigated this process on my own. I cannot recommend her enough. Her professionalism and sense of humor have saved me through this divorce and eased my mind as I move forward.

I hired this lawyer because she promised me the best outcome of my case but sadly that was only her trying to get me to hire her. She has no experience, no preparation to go to court, she always forgets what I constantly wanted her to fight for, she lost several of my documents, and I could go on... My case got really complicated due to her luck of knowledge and the other party’s attorney was attacking hard so what happened is that she had no other option but to try to get me to accept everything that the other party was asking for and get it over with, she told me I was going to lose my case either way if there was a trial, I was devastated and broke but I never agreed to anything of what they were asking for so after 1 year and a half of paying her and paying her money for doing pretty much nothing good for my process she withdrew the case with the excuse she had a baby. I do NOT recommend this lawyer at all.

After having dealt previously with a lemon of a law firm, I was so happy to find these lovely people. They obviously have a passion for Family Law and it showed in all the interactions I had with them. Lindsee answered all my questions with candidness and as thoroughly as she could. They were very open with me about what to expect. I had no issues with them and would use them in the future if I ever had a need.
