Just a quick note to thank Paralegal Leah for her assistance in answering questions related to a hospitalized family member who will soon be discharged and then moving to a rehab facility. Leah was compassionate, understanding, and helpful. Darpel Elder Law has been previously helpful for answering questions so we were more informed about making decisions as they relate to elderly family members.

Our experience with Darpel Elder Law was very positive. Matt Darpel and his colleagues were professional and efficient and always available when we had questions. They provided advice and services to help us with long term care, guardianship and the complicated and confusing process of Medicaid benefits. They explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions in a quick and timely manner. We value their advice and would highly recommend their services.

I had a very hard time trying to get my brother's paperwork done properly with the state. He was placed in a nursing home, and I keep running into government issues. I contacted Leah at Darpel's Law Office and we meet. Leah was great, within a few phone conversations and a few short office visits, she called saying that the state had approved his paperwork, and everything would be reto-active. I would not use anyone else to handle my needs. This a top-notch firm. .

Matt, Chad and Lisa provided tremendous support and assistance when my father passed away in 2013 and throughout my mother's Medicaid registration and passing in 2020. When my dad passed away, Matt assisted my mom and I through the steps of transferring assets to her name in addition to the process of having me named 'power of attorney'. In 2018, when it became apparent my mother would need to be placed in a nursing home, Chad and Lisa guided me through every step in obtaining her Medicaid eligibility. They also assisted me with recertification of Medicaid in 2019. When she passed away in 2020, they made the process of closing of her estate very easy. They were always friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about me and my family. For all of the bad things you hear about lawyers, NONE of those things are true of Darpel Elder Law. I would honestly give them more than 5 stars if I could.

My parents' attorney in their previous city had ignored them; I hired Matt Darpel who quickly helped me to put their affairs in order -- legal, financial, medical, and housing concerns. This began in 2007 when my parents, in their 80s, abruptly moved to the area to be near me when my father was dying. I needed an elder attorney, and wanted someone who was a member of NAELA, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. The long-term care industry is full of real estate investors and snakes. My mother is now 100 years old and is living with Alzheimer's disease in a skilled-nursing facility. In this process of seeing my parents over the finish line, I have been smacked around by all comers, but never have my attorneys scolded me. Matt Darpel's partner, Chad Seiter, has worked tirelessly on my mother's complex case for five years. Care providers and administrators come and go, but for 15 years the Darpel office continues to advise and protect our family.

Matt Darpel and his team are the best ! Life throws us some hard balls at times and I’m so happy our friend put us in touch with this group. When having to consider putting a loved one in a nursing home facility we found them to be equipped with answers in every way to handle and direct us through all the hard decisions that we struggled to understand and yet keeping our best interest at heart. So thankful to this group for all their help. My family and I strongly recommend them ! Being highly professional as they are in seeing us through a difficult process, we also consider them our friends. Thank you so much!!!
