Just a heads up to anyone considering doing business with this firm. Mr. Rice became very hostile and loud on the phone with me due to the fact we could not quote him the rule or regulation forbidding us from paying him a "bird dog fee" for referring clients to us. Out of the 900 attorneys who send clients to us for help securing auto loans while in bankruptcy he is 1 of 2 that was offended that we do not do so. He is a horrible lawyer no communication don't do anything until he's pushed by the other lawyer than tried to make it look like it's you.

This guy got his qualifications from a Cracker Jack box. Don’t waste your time, or especially, money on this quack that calls reviewers hack bots instead of people, who came for help, and were turned off by horrible service.

Since you were so kind to Ms. Kerstin Black, I decided to put my 50 cents in. No, she was not your client. My daughter-in-law Rose was, and they are great friends. I'm certain you will know who I am referring to by seeing my last name. I want you to know that Rose went through hell trying to get a divorce from my son. You sir, did not help. She would tell me about trying to get in touch with you and how difficult it always was. How you would NEVER return phone calls or respond to E-mails. You were always seemingly unavailable. This divorce was NOT contested and should have been dealt with in a timely manner. You wanted your money upfront though, didn't you? You got it and then sat on your rear. People like you are why many of us out here have a mental illness because people like you, whom we pay our hard earned money to for a service, only to be put in the "not worth my time" file, are the reason we are batsh*t crazy! So to reiterate my feelings on your professionalism, you suck. I would not recommend this man at all. There are many more crooked lawyers out there who will at least give you their time for a service you paid for. Kerstin Black and Rose are two of the nicest people I have ever known and your response was extremely unprofessional, which is not surprising, as you are extremely unprofessional. Have a great day as I'm sure you are vacationing or golfing, or whatever it is you do besides lawyering.

Let me start off by saying he’s only getting a one star because I can’t give him zero. When I went to his office back for a divorce in January of 2018, I was referred by a male friend of mine, Mr. Rice said he had been “screwed over” in the past and I was required to pay up front or put a deposit down. I agreed because I understand what it means to get taken advantage of. This man has made my life hell for the last 8 months. The communication is poor, when there is any. If you have a question or concern don’t expect an answer anytime soon, he’ll send you a two sentence response that won’t answer anything and is cryptic as all get out. He is disorganized. On multiple occasions he got me and another case confused to the point he said I needed to come in and resign paperwork only to find out when I got to his office I had in fact signed said documents. He has given me multiple dates as to when my paperwork would be done then to come back and say “oops I didn’t file it” or “something went wrong but I’ll fix it” then it was never fixed or filed. It took me firing him and having another attorney calling him to get to actually get this done. My divorce should’ve been done back in March then June it wasn’t completely said and done September 24. Unless you’re someone who enjoys the run around and being lied to, Michael rice is not even someone I would refer my worst enemy to.

He is unorganized. I was treated with disrespect. When I said I wanted a full refund, he was snide and generated false paperwork to withhold $400.00. Later I found out many people have filed against him with the Bar Association having similar complaints.

I met Attorney Michael L Rice several years ago when he was handling a bankruptcy for another individual that I know. He was the first bankruptcy attorney I thought to call when I needed his services and I don't regret it at all. He has helped me get through a very trying time not just as a bankruptcy attorney but also as a friend. I would highly recommend him and his services to everyone that I know. You're the best Mike!
