My wife and I were contacted by Mr. Soergel to go over our case of wrongful termination. We met him in the office at Bolus Law Firm and he seemed like a straight shooter. We went over the case with him; provided him with recorded audio, statments from the accused which gave creedance to our claims, and documebtation from the Unemployment board proving that my previous employer (Marksbury Farms) filed an unemploment claim on my behalf which read, HELP, HELP, HELP. Because of that claim I was unable to file a real claim due to recieving no help from the unemployment board. Brennan signed us up on the spot and asked for my qife and I to go home and give him a detailed (the more detailed the better) report on everything that happened since we arived in KY and we did. He promised to review and set an appointment for the following week. We waited for a response which never came. I called him and told him my number changed which he blamed for not being able to contact us (Even though my wife's number and our emails remained the same. He then promised to get back to me in the middle of the following week. He did not. I called him two weeks later and he said that he would be contacting me soon on moving forward. About 2 months later after many unanswered calls and emails he sent out a letter to us stating that, "after reviewing your case, our case load is too high to represent you in this matter" This doesnt really seem legal, definitely not ethical. Because Brennan assured us that we would have representation we stopped looking. He never even so mich as gave us a cal to explain. Hes only been a lawyer for 3 years but thats no excuse. You should always treat people with dignity and respect, especially after what my wife and O had already gone through. I recommend you try for someone else. Im not sure of his motive for the actions he displayed with us but, its usually about money and it seems like dropping your client for any reason other than client behavior or lack of contact would just invite lawyers to take payouts from the more wealthy employers we were fighting. Not sure of his reasons like I said, integrity however, wasnt one of them.
