At the initial consultation, I met Ruth but I hired the Mr. Hoge, I was assured that she was very knowledgeable and would provide equal representation when required. Twice my ex-wife was held in contempt and Ruth would work for several hours to get an Agreed Order, all were signed, but none were successful. I would give her an in-depth report of events and she would refuse to listen and tell me what my ex's attorney said. I even went as far as giving her the names and phone numbers of the sheriffs that were involved, but she would refuse to hear my side. years ago. Unfortunately most of the things that I did not how consul on were very expensive to rebut. Most were unsuccessful and required the services of another attorney to mitigate. It turned out that everything after mediation was handled by Ruth and it was not a pleasant experience. She was unresponsive and defensive in his dealings with me. When he was informed that I was seeking other counsel, she withdrew and every time that I received any correspondence from her office it was mentioned how they were disappointed with my anonymous review. They were downright nasty about it - and that's putting it mildly. Never again.

Ruth really had my back and was quick to make sure I understood all that was coming at me. Honestly she was that person who truly protected me through the hardest time in my life.

I employed Hoge attorneys ( specifically Ruth Wilkerson ) I was led to believe there was wiggle room in the amount a father had to pay based upon his level of custody that he had with his child. Ruth went straight to the Kentucky calculator and divided the support payment into percentages of our total income and added the health insurance into the percentages, this left me with $14. a week to live on. I tried to show her a breakdown of my living expenses ( just the have to make payments ) and her response was do you want to terminate our contract. After that I did. I honestly got a better offer from the states attorney.
