My parents signed up with Elder Advisers a few years ago and appointed me trustee of their asset trust. My siblings and I were suddenly faced with the possibilities of committing one of my parents into living assistance. None of us knew what to do, or how we were going to proceed. I called Larry Weiss. He met with my siblings and I and gave us advice as to the confusing and stressful tasks we were faced with. I have had to call Larry other times and he always either spoke to me directly, or called me back promptly with advice. I have learned that most people are ill-equipped to make decisions concerning their parents. Most seniors are able to handle their own affairs, without assistance, until that day when they can't. Assuming that role is both daunting and stressful. The tasks of taking them to doctor's appointments, maintaining their home, vehicles and properties, and paying their bills, are time-consuming and stressful. Adding to all that the monumental tasks of making decisions of when the time is right, where to place the parent and how it will be paid for, appears to be impossible, and it seems as if there is nowhere to go for advice. Elder Advisors have filled that role. So far, we have been pleased with Elder Advisers' professional and prompt assistance. Larry is very knowledgeable and helpful in all aspects of our situation. He told me once that Elder Advisers is there for the ones like my siblings and I, not so much for the parents. Their role makes this difficult time easier to face.

For anyone facing this type of situation you should know it is a complicated process and Elder Advisors has been there every step of the way. Larry and his team have been remarkable.
