Price McNamara is truly a one-of-a-kind attorney. From the very beginning, he exceeded every expectation I had for professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care. Working with him was an absolute pleasure, and he made what could have been a stressful process feel manageable. Price frequently checked in with me, ensuring I had no questions or concerns along the way. He responded to emails promptly—often faster than I expected—and no question ever felt too small or insignificant. His deep knowledge and expertise in ERISA law were evident at every turn, and it gave me tremendous confidence knowing I was in such capable hands. Equally impressive was his incredible staff. Every member of his team was efficient, organized, and kind, making the entire process seamless. It was clear that he has built a team that mirrors his own commitment to excellence and care. What truly sets Price apart, though, is his genuine dedication to his clients. He didn’t treat me like just another case; he treated me like a person, with real empathy and respect. By the end of the process, I wasn’t just grateful for his exceptional legal work—I was also grateful for the relationship we built. I genuinely consider him a friend. If you’re looking for someone who is not only an expert in ERISA law but also deeply committed to your well-being, Price McNamara is the lawyer you want in your corner. He’s everything you could hope for in legal representation and more. I cannot recommend him highly enough—five stars don’t even begin to do him justice!

I have had the honor of working with Price, Sara, Erika, and Dana. They are an incredible team that works so hard and cares deeply about each client. I honestly cannot put into words what an amazing group this is. Not only do they have a drive to make sure their clients get the benefits they deserve, but also every one of them has a huge heart and want nothing but the best for each person they come in contact with. The clients don’t see what happens behind the scenes, but I had the opportunity to and it is nothing short of amazing. From the beginning to the end, their work ethic is nothing that I have ever experienced before. Their love, knowledge, and commitment to this area of law is something you will want in a team. They have your back and will not let you down. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this amazing practice you have built and for being so patient and kind as I learned. I will miss you all and I am wishing you nothing but the best.

I would give this lawyer a 0-star review if I could. I have an easy open-shut case with the medical documentation I will be receiving from my doctor. I was receiving benefits for multiple months from Reliance Std; they only denied my claim based on tests that had nothing to do with the disability I claimed. The claim was only later denied due to tests that were trying to figure out why I have syncope episodes and not the condition I was claiming. I only wanted to make the process easier for myself. This lawyer thinks the case is too "hard." I only have a master of science in information technology, but I will solve this without them on my own. I do not recommend this lawyer.

Highly recommend lawyer. Brandt was recommended to me by a family member of mine. I was involved in a car accident and unfortunately I had no insurance for my vehicle, so because of that the other party who crashed into my car insurance company did not have to cover the damage or medical expenses. It’s called (PAY TO PLAY). I believed that it was nothing I could do about it and I was just going to have to take the loss but Brandt assured me that he will handle it and for sure he did. Not only did he help with and got a settlement for the case, me believing that nothing would be able to be do about I was a good bit difficult to get in contact with and slow with responding to him but he was patient, respectful, nice consistent, considerate, everything you would picture a great lawyer to be. He was recommended to me, I would recommend him to you and I know for sure once you begin to do business with him, you’ll be recommending him to.

Brad Cranmer provided outstanding representation throughout my divorce proceedings. From our initial consultation to the final resolution, he demonstrated a level of professionalism and expertise that exceeded my expectations. His attention to detail ensured that every aspect of my case was thoroughly addressed, and his guidance was instrumental in achieving a favorable outcome. What truly set him apart, however, was his unwavering commitment to my well-being beyond the legal aspects of the case. His empathetic approach and willingness to listen to my concerns made me feel heard and supported every step of the way. The genuine care for his clients is a testament to his integrity and dedication to his profession. I wholeheartedly recommend Brad to anyone in need of legal representation, knowing that they will be in the most capable hands.

Brad helped me collect property payments from a family court ruling in a neighboring state. Brad is highly knowledgeable about collections and proactive in dealing with uncooperative employers and slippery exes. I live on the other end of the country, but it felt like Brad and his team were in the same city. Communication was frequent and thorough. I am so lucky to have found Brad, a trustworthy professional willing to take my case. Brad gave me closure on a lengthy and frustrating family court issue!

  4. What is your approach to resolving cases like mine?

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
