I don't always write a review, but I am not happy with the service I got from Tracy Shanks. I would not recommend her. Tracy is not very responsive and she didn't really explain my options or explain the divorce process. She's also super expensive. She was quick to ask for $15,000 based on the attorney my future ex-husband hired. Since I am a full-time student and been living off my student loans, she dismissed me and referred me to another lawyer. I asked her to send me an e-mail of the services that has been done with the cost, but I have not heard from her. It is so frustrating because I have so much going on right now with school, clinical, being single mom to a 15 month old, and flooding due to hurricane Ida and I was hoping that Tracy would make the divorce/custody process easier. That is not the case.

Like many people, petitioning for someone from another country isn’t something we do every day. My fiancée and I were going to try to do the process ourselves but quickly got overwhelmed-especially with our particular circumstances. We decided to hire a professional and Michaels’ firm comes with glowing reviews. When I first contacted Michael, I was under duress from an unexpected turn of events with our case. We set up a meeting with him, told him about our situation and explained how we encountered a big hiccup due to another immigration lawyers’ advice, and about our concern and worry being approved for a visa due to that. Michael assured us that he would handle it and everything would work out. He had us fill out some paperwork and he got to work on our case immediately. Throughout our extra long process, he’s always been readily available and responds to emails and calls promptly. We came upon another unexpected hiccup after the delay with the coronavirus, but with his help and expertise, our case was approved with the Embassy and everything moved forward. We’ve just secured our k-1 visa and my fiancée will be arriving to the States in under 2 months! Michael is amazing. He cares about you and yours. He is very passionate about what he does and highly educated in immigration law. He works hard and fights for you. We will continue to use Michaels’ services and will be starting our AOS process with him soon! He is a great attorney and a fantastic advocate for immigrants dreaming and hoping to be reunited with their families. MAHALO MICHAEL!! UPDATE: we filed my husbands' AOS application through his office we just received my husbands' green card today! We are ever so grateful to Michael for his amazing guidance and expertise and compassion in this field. He made the process so much less stressful for us and was there with us through the long haul. we highlt recommend his services and we would hire him again in a heartbeat. Thanks again, Michael!
