Julie Tizzard is the most competent, available and hard working attorney I know. She goes above and beyond to help her clients because she believes in helping people. For almost 5 years Stephen Hebert handled my case. Throughout that time he consistently exceeded expectations and I never once had cause for any kind of complaint. He consistently did an exceptional job (I guess that's kind of an oxymoron - so much for my Pulitzer) of accurately assessing the ever shifting legal situation and explaining it to me in terms I could understand; realistically outlining possible courses of action and legal options. He never sugarcoated it, and when in doubt he always under-promised and over-delivered. His extensive connections to people in the top category of their various respective fields proved instrumental time and time again; if we needed a PI, an expert witness or anything else, he knew who to call. His reputation preceeded him wherever he went and on several occasions, on leaving a meeting with him at my parish jail, one or more of the guards would remark something to the effect that I was in good hands (a small detail, perhaps, but to me at least, far from insignificant). In all our dealings Mr. Hebert was always honest and straightforward; in dealing with adversaries or third parties he proved knowledgeable (I think that's how you spell it), determined, and when necessary, to paraphrase his website; ruthlessly efficient. But not only was his professional conduct unimpeacheable, personally he was always kind and courteous which was important to me (as well as somewhat surprising, being used to the lawyers in New York), but even more important to my family. We are all immensely grateful to him for the way he handled things. I Hope you're not in a situation where you need a criminal defense lawyer, but if you are, I encourage you to seek out Mr. Hebert, you won't find anyone better.
