I had quite a few attorneys before Mr. Bokenfohr for a custody case. I knew I had finally reached the right place when I entered his office. Mr. Bokenfohr is an excellent attorney. In addition to being supportive at court, he is respectful, professional, honest, and compassionate with his clients. You may think all attorneys should have these qualities, but they don't! I am writing from experience. That's what makes him the best in his field. No words can describe how grateful I feel. Mr. Bokenfohr set the bar high for the rest of the lawyers in Caddo Parish. A blessing! I retained Mr.Bokenfohr at a very crucial moment during my divorce. At first I was not represented by anyone at the time, towards the end I realized I have no choice but to retain a lawyer, that’s when I reached out to John. My daughter was fighting CPS to get her kids out of foster care.. They were taken based on a phone call that they received. There was never any proof of anything. She was accused of being on drugs, but was never drug tested. It took them 8 months and they still had the children. they wouldn’t even let my daughter talk to her children, even though she was supposed to talk to them weekly. They split the kids up and they put my granddaughter in a foster home an hour and a half away for my grandson they would not even let them talk on the phone to each other , this was a nightmare! I never thought that DCFS had this much power! I hired John and he made sure that we got the kids back into our custody. They were returned to me in December 2023 a lot of times I couldn’t get a hold of him when I needed to talk to him, but he did OK get the job done and to me that’s all that matters, we just wanted the babies home. I just want to say thank you so much for everything that you did to help us get those children home. We are very thankful for you and all that you did for us. . I can tell you, if I ever need an attorney again John Brokenfore will be the one that I hire. Thank you, John! I think we can change some of the CPS laws!! Make a difference!

He sucks and he doesn't get any stars from me. Looks like he's only good in family court because in criminal court he says what needs to be said just to get your money, & acts like he's gonna fight for you when after he gets the money he doesn't do anything that he promised. I hired him for my husband and once he received my money he started talking like he was on the DAs side, I had to turn around and hire another attorney to work with John. He's sorry, point blank period & I wouldn't recommend him to no darn body, do your research on these attorneys before you spend your hard earned money on them. I was planning on hiring him for a second situation until I saw how he handled my husband's case, instead I went with Jacqueline Scott, she's the best hands down. John Bokenfohr sucks & if you're thinking about hiring him don't waste your money, because my experience with him for 2023-2024 sucked. Don't waste your money on him.

I don’t know where to start, except to say, when choosing an attorney that you can trust, that has your best interest at heart, because he actually cares, and who is not going to just run up your bill pointlessly… John Bokenfohr is the best there is. He is easy to talk to, understanding, but will tell you like it is too. He has other cases but always makes time to respond to urgent matters pertaining to your case. He is empathetic, smart, and will FIGHT. I wouldn’t want anyone else in my corner. I had several attorneys prior to hiring him and felt hopeless, and at times felt I could advocate and argue better for myself… but after hiring Bokenfohr, I’ve since felt safe and secure and I trust John Bokenfohr with this family civil matter and any legal matters in the future.
