Mr. Bokenfohr took my case and started researching before I even took him the check! He was diligent and kept me informed the entire time. He listened to my issue and provided a solution when other attorneys just referred me to the mental health advocacy who has yet to return my calls. He knew just what to do to get my son (who was being held at Brentwood for no reason) discharged. He knew time was a factor and he worked fast! I am so happy to have been referred to Mr. Bokenfohr and would recommend him to anyone needing an attorney that really seems to care!

This was my first time ever needing to hire an attorney, and it was for a serious matter (dcfs appeal) False allegations were being made against my fiancé and I. After our first consultation with Mr. Bokenfohr, I absolutely knew he was the one. He showed serious compassion about our case, and was very thorough on all of our next steps. Both him and his paralegal Mallory were quickly available to us to answer any questions or concerns we had. Not only did we win my fiancé’s trial, but he was able to have mine completely dismissed due to invalid findings. When my husband and I unexpectedly ended up with our eight month-old niece at the start of the pandemic, we had no idea what to do next. Thankfully, a trusted friend recommended Mr. Bokenfohr. At our first meeting, John explained our options and provided us with all of the information we needed to decide the best way to proceed. Throughout the process, which, thanks to COVID-19, included multiple postponed/rescheduled court dates, John's paralegal, Meagan, stayed in frequent contact with us. She even shared her personal contact information in order to be more available. John guided us through the process of securing legal custody, during which both he and Meagan promptly answered our million questions as they arose. Child custody is a complex legal situation, but John (and Meagan) made it as easy and painless as possible. They are both incredibly knowledgeable, professional, personable, and what we consider the most important quality in an attorney/paralegal: trustworthy.

I hired John for my divorce and to help me gain custody of my children. He promised me these things from the beginning of my case and he came through. He is trustworthy and will give you the honest truth. I was very impressed with how easy it was to get in touch with him throughout the course of the case as I have heard nightmares about people having issues with contacting attorneys.
