I engaged Shelley Carter for advice and then representation in a custody and parental rights case. Her advice was very thorough and clear. She was very attentive to my concerns and questions. Shelley, was my attorney for a Parental Rights case. Honestly going into her office the first few times I was beyond nervous, I have never had much confidence in myself. Going to her not only helped with my case and getting that taken care of but it also gave me a new sense of confidence in myself. I really do appreciate how straight forward she was with me through-out the whole process. Not just that but if I didn't understand something or I had any type of question she was there to explain it to me, until I understood. I messed up about a year ago and kinda screwed up the path of my life and ended up in a situation where it seemed that there was no way out. but then i contacted shellley and she said i screwed up but we will work on building a path forword. (honesty) she layed out what i needed to do to get the best resolution. and told me to still expect the worst. in the end we endend up with the best result . and i would suggest her anyday of the week

I got charged with an OUI and Disorderly Disorderly in February last year. I had used Shelly prior to this for a family legal matter, which too faired in my favor quickly and seamlessly. I went straight t to Shelly with this matter and the way I refer to her in the terms of this situations is worded "She IS, the OUI attorney!" Maine has tough laws and I refused to blow which is not a good idea, trust me. She did the best I could have asked for and even more. She consulted me anytime and comforted me in the whole situation. I was honest with her from the get go and I felt more then good about it My disorderly was taken care of while I didn't' even know it was, and before I knew it I was getting great news that it was dropped, leaving me with enough reassurance to make it through the rest of the debacle . I have a waiting game for a b bit of my case and she is continues to reassure and be there for me as though I am a priority She also happily worked around my driving situation which was not easy for me, especially in earlier times of the incident. . I highly recommend her and though I know this is all situational I would undoubtedly go to her in the future for any concerns I have.
