My name is Paula. In 2005 I was injured at work when the wheel on an upright piano fell off and the piano fell on me. No one would take my case because it involved a school district. I finally came across Doug Kaplan. Mr. Kaplan reviewed my case and said he would help me. While he represented me I had to have several back surgeries and went through countless physical therapy sessions along with pain management. Doug Kaplan has always been there for me. He fought for me when Workman's Compensation tried to take advantage of me and were not being honest. I asked Doug why he chose Workmans Compensation cases. I pointed out that he could make more money representing Other people. I told him I was very blessed to have him as my lawyer and he was there when no one else would take my case. In a world that revolves around money, Doug is more interested in helping people. My case at the present time is still on going so I can only speak about what attorney Kaplan has done for me to date. After meeting with Mr. Kaplan and his associate for the first time I knew that he was the lawyer for me. Doug is incredibly to work with. He gives spot on advice quick to reply to emails and has called me many times during off hours which I would think would be unheard of. I would recommend him in a heart beat.

The thing that impressed me the most and made me hire Doug in the first place was his calm demeanor and his ability to explain legal matters in a way that an ordinary person who had just suffered a traumatic brain injury could understand. In the fall of 2011 I got hurt at work while attending a safety training course out of state.
