I had the most wonderful experience with this practice and my attorney Lee Ann Adams. As a new business owner I had to have documents overlooked, prepared, edited and signed and with only giving Lee Ann Adams a two week notice to close on my deal she dove in head first for me. She made me feel as if I was her only client. She was personable, professional and knowledgeable. She made me feel at ease with every step. Even when I was nervous that we weren’t going to have time to seal the deal she always encouraged me and told me “Lisa we got this!” I couldn’t have asked to find another attorney like her. I truly believe she helped me in ways other attorneys couldn’t. I highly recommend her and the practice to anyone in need of an attorney.

Should be a circus, ran into clowns

Had a very off-putting experience as a witness. I was called the day before the trial was supposed to begin for my boyfriend's divorce. He ended up firing the backup attorney Elizabeth after receiving an email stating that he would be paying "This is going to sound harsh but you’re paying the firm for my/our experience". Mathew J. Bernmeardt was his original attorney at this firm. Before the PL Chris did try to fire him many times by email and feels he was bullied into staying. Reading the emails makes me cry. I think after serving our country together (Chris and Mathew), he thought things would turn out much differently. Betrayed and taken advantage of are some of the words to describe this situation. If you want or need a trial lawyer this is not the place for you. We now have a new lawyer, Council, Baradel, Kosmerl & Nolan, P.A. is a waste of time and money.

Attorney Stephen Oberg is great to work with. He helped my company with all the legal start up documents. He has answered any questions we ask him legally with our business.

Though not new to buying a home, my husband and I were new to buying one without a realtor. We were anxious about the process until we spoke with Lee Ann Adams, Esquire at Council Baradel. Lee Ann returned our call immediately and during that first conversation quickly allayed all of our fears regarding purchasing a home without an agent. She went on to outline the process and highlighted how she and Council Baradel, along with their Title Company, would help us with each step leading up to and through settlement. She was clear with what information she would need from us/the seller in order to draw up the contract. As she waited for us to gather the information, she provided us with questions to ask our Lender, and insights into the MD transfer and recordation fees, which we were unaware of, in an effort to make sure we were well positioned and there were no surprises for either party come closing. As soon as she had all the information necessary to write the contract, it was waiting for us in our email inbox. Everything we needed to fill out was highlighted but she talked us through everything and promptly answered all of our follow up questions. She was available and responsive throughout the entire process and always seemed *so happy* to help. Our sellers were equally impressed and commented on how easy and pleasant she made the process! We have our “forever” dream home because of Lee Ann! My husband and I have told everyone we know: skip the realtor; call Lee Ann; and save time and money!

I retained Ms. Pfenson last year (after interviewing a few others) to fight a motion to modify custody. The opposing council was decidedly more “seasoned” and thought she could bully Ms. Pfenson with threats and such. All she did was get to see a real attorney at work. Ms. Pfenson proved that not only did the other attorney not know the Maryland Rules but also that the opposing side had made the terrible mistake of underestimating her skills. Ms. Pfenson was so thorough that his case was thrown out and he was ordered to pay a portion of my legal fees. Opposing council was flabbergasted. Ms. Pfenson is more than capable of handling everything that is thrown at her and carries herself with the utmost professionalism and class while knowing the intricate details of the law. Don’t let her polished look and pleasant demeanor fool you into thinking that she can’t go toe-to-toe with any other attorney. She is a formidable adversary and I would tell you that it is best to have her on your side than opposing you. On top of this, she is very personable, responsive, and easy to talk to. Seems unusual to find that combination of skills and qualities but Ms. Pfenson has them. I would recommend her to anyone dealing with a family law matter. I feel very confident having her on my side. She plays to win. Highly recommend her.
