Mr. Beard was very responsive to our case and finalized the details without any issues. He had to step in and take over our case and that transition was smooth with no issues. Patrick handled my divorce and child custody case with great calmness and objectivity. He was very attentive to my wishes and always communicated with the opposing party with great respect and in a non-inflammatory manner. This was very important to me, given the sensitivity of both parties through such an difficult and emotional process. I interviewed several lawyers and found that most were very eager to spark arguments that would have prolonged the process. I couldn't be happier with the results of my custody case.  I found Patrick through the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and I'm glad I made that phone call. He's efficient and well worth what he charges. He doesn't get involved with all the histrionic madness that can go along with family court cases and he cuts through all the unnecessary bs that opposing counsel might try to throw in. He was always early and had a strategy in his mind even if he didn't share that with me. He seems to have a good reputation and good rapport with other attorneys and judges in the court system, which is a bonus, and he resembles Colin Firth as Mr Darcy...so, really, I have no complaints.

Patrick is worth at least 2 to 3x more than what he charges hourly. In a world where you hear attorneys advertising their abilities to be aggressive and hostile and win, win, win...Patrick cuts through all that BS and focuses on what really matters - and in family court, it seems like his approach is the best approach to take. I started with a different law firm and Patrick took on my case right before we went to trial. He went through over one year's worth of legal documents in a short amount of time. He was logical and rational and knew exactly what to spend time on and what things to not bother entertaining. Dealing with family court is stressful and his approach also alleviated a lot of the emotional taxation I was feeling. I also live out of state and he has been really good about working around my ability to travel. He also appears to be on good terms with other attorneys and the judges as well, which is important. Honestly, I don't really feel like my review can do him justice. I made a phone call to the Anne Arundel County Bar Association one afternoon after a hearing where I represented myself and his name was the first name I was given. I am just soooo glad I made that phone call that afternoon because I am completely happy with the results of the case.
