I prolonged this filing because of various reasons. Jodi and David both were very patient and thorough explaining deadlines and guiding me through gathering all of the documentation I needed to have the chapter seven filed correctly and successfully. I felt confident having David accompany me during the actual hearing. Prior to the meeting of the creditors, we had gone over the last of our required documentation in his office. Do not underestimate this step. The court room the hearing is held in is open and many lawyers and their clients are huddled in hallways and crammed in the seats without any privacy, attempting to finalize things that seemed that they should have already sorted out. Although I was nervous, my confidence mounted knowing we were prepared and didn’t have any last minute loose ends. Experience is definitely worth the cost as the judge moves very fast in the assembly line style of hearings. If feels like having a doctors appointment and answering all of your personal questions amongst the public, but David is very well versed in the law and answered all of the questions I couldn’t. Choose a lawyer who is truthful and direct and follows the law. It’s was my best choice to have chosen David Grossman’s law firm.
