Help me with situations we're suing people without going to jail

I googled Legal Aid of Baltimore City, and saw that they help with landlord/tenant issues. I went in about a week 1/2 ago and spoke with an attorney by the name of Dan. In the first 2 minutes he seemed to have had a problem with some of my complaints with my current housing situation, as I have complaints about discrimination and other issues. He came off very rude. Every time I went to say something he cut me off. I deserve respect, however, I felt disrespected!! Although he did inform me briefly of something that I could do to possibly help my situation, they were of NO HELP in my situation. Before leaving his office, he told me that they would be in touch in about a week to let me know how they could help me. I got a phone call from him about 7 minutes ago and was told that they could not assist me in my case and was given 2 other organizations names and numbers and was told to give them a call. If there was nothing that they could do, to assist me, he should have told me that on the day I was there and not that I would receive a call in a about a week, to let me know how they could help me. That was very misleading and I am extremely upset about that. My question is, why have that they can help with landlord/tenant issues if they don't help?! Totally dissatisfied with Legal Aid.

Horrible service and bad attitudes , oh and my lawyer DID NOT show to court ! I lost my case because of this ! Thanks

I do not feel as tho i was helped in any way. My problem was an unscrupulous landlord, preventing bge from turning on gas & electricity in home i was renting from him because of non payment & court for the home needing to be fixed. They say a landlord not susposed to harress a tenant . ( its in the landlord / tenant handbook) but they do & my landlord allowed to do so with no help from anyone. Bge, legal aid, the courts! No one!!!
