Steve is a great attorney who helped me to resolve a serious false allegation charge with a favorable outcome. I am extremely lucky to get such a friendly and professional attorney like Steve. He politely listens and understand my concerns. He tried to resolve the case as quickly as possible and even worked on weekends with the witnesses and absolutely trust worthy. He involved me in the decision-making process regarding the resolution of my legal issues and was prompt in providing feedback to any questions I might have. He was hard-working, efficient, dependable, well-prepared, honest and fair. Words could never begin the gratitude that I have for Mr. Steve. He even sends the necessary documents to have my records expunged and makes himself available to me for questions or concerns about the future.

so I don't know where to start to write this review. I guess ill start from the beginning. I am an active duty military. I was facing serious punishment for allegation, I was facing discharge from the military. Initially there was 15-6 investigation started, then immediately after that I was found guilty based on incomplete investigation. If anyone going through a similar process could imagine the stress and the level of anxiety and not knowing what's going to happen to you and your family. Initially I was counseled by my chain of command to seek legal counseling, and they have directed me towards the military TDS attorney. After discussing with my wife and few other friends we determined to retain civilian attorney, which it was the best decision I have made during this process maybe in my entire military career!! I started to search for competant attorney to work with and that search by itself was daunting process. Because I was reading so many reviews and not sure which one to choose to work with, luckly with god help we chose to work with Mr. Levine, and what a great choice!!!! Thanks again BTW sir. So I scheduled appointment and went and showed him what I have, my case, my side of the story, and briefly spoke about my military career (initially). From day one he was honest, open, and sincere. He immediately told me that he thinks its a good case, he thinks that we would have positive outcome, and he will be happy to represent me. Some of you going to say well off course for the money! That was absolutely not the case with him (I mean yes he wants to make a living) he was very compassionate and made me feel great and confident about what we have, and spoke intelligently about the process. I think it's fair to highlight here the cost, (which first I want to say if you want the best service for anything in life you have to pay higher price) So it was costly for me as an active duty military. but worth every single penny. Oh and trust me if he know, or find a way to save you money he'll tell you about it. So he's not the greedy attorney who just want to take your money, no he's great human being. So to continue the process we setup multiple face to face prep sessions and over the phone. Fast forward to the hearing board, I think if I just say WOW, it might give a hint of how impressive he was. Just to reiterate he did very thorough investigation of the situation. So during the hearing he was very prepared, used methodical way to present witnesses and cross examination of their witnesses......I honestly can't say enough about him. Anyone reads this review I want to tell you this, if you are in legal trouble you WANT no actually you NEED Mr. Levine on your side (definitely you don't want him across the table from you). Mr. Levine thank you so much my family and I are greatful that we had you on our side. Advise with this review if you in legal trouble DO NOT give up your right to speak to attorney. Do not give statement before you speak to one. I did give statement because I didn't know better. But now I know and you know.

Steve represented me when I was the target of a long, drawn out government investigation. He is a brilliant lawyer and a great person. And you can take what he says to the bank - in fact, he is the most honest person I've ever met, period. He not only provided exceptional legal and strategic advice but also was there for me personally. I say this not just based on his command of the law, but also from his exceptional personal engagement with his client - me - at every step of the way. To be specific to my case, I had an adverse reaction to prescribed medications that led to a DWI. Rather than taking the easy and sure way out of minimizing the legal impact through a settlement, Steve did the homework and laid out the strategy based on a "whole person" approach. He advised me to do all of the remediation steps quickly (awareness courses, etc) while simultaneously engaging with the State Attorney to illustrate that the incident was not an indication of bad character or decision making. He kept me actively informed throughout the whole process. The result was That the charges were dismissed. . The most telling and impressive part of Steve's strategy was that it was based on having a strong, respected relationship with the State's Attorney Office. That only happens when someone is of high character and professionalism - which Steve has in spades. I could not recommend him more highly.

Steve represented me in a dispute with an insurance company regarding the diminution in value of my car (and related matters) after I was rear-ended. He quickly resolved the matter with just a well crafted demand letter and a couple of follow up calls. Steve is very smart, very practical, and very efficient. I will certainly use him again if I end up in any type of contested legal matter.

Steve represented me in a very complicated matter involving two highly profile government agencies. He quickly gathered all the facts of the case and did an outstanding job of focusing on those facts and the truth which led to my total vindication and overwhelming win! Steve handled a really complicated case that involved an investigative agency he had never worked with before, as well as local prosecutors. Like many investigations, this one dragged on for two years. Despite the unanticipated extra work the investigation required, he was very generous with his time, and at all times was concerned about my state of mind since I had never before been involved in any type of investigation (haven't had a traffic ticket in 20 years!). He went well beyond the purview of a typical defense lawyer and mitigated a situation that could have resulted in profound reputational damage. I am a partner at an AmLaw 100 firm (one of the 100 largest law firms in the United States). I have litigated cases myself. I hired Steve for a commercial arbitration perhaps five years ago. I had the choice of arbitrating or litigating in court - he helped me make the correct decision (and provided calm counsel despite my strong desire for scorched-earth litigation against someone clearly lying and providing false testimony). In at least one case, his adept strategy and strong relationships with prosecutors (in this p[articular case state prosecutors) resulted in a full dismissal of charges even before trial. He was able to explain why the charges were overbroad and inappropriate - and his reputation helped to convince the prosecutor to dismiss the case. But besides prosecutors and judges, he is known and respected by the Maryland Bar and other defense counsel. Personally, I have also sought his counsel on other personal issues, in particular for how to handle issues associated with my own family members. (There was a potential criminal issue where an elderly parent was taken advantage of - and I consulted Steve to assess whether or how to encourage prosecutors to bring a case.) Our work relationship has also become a strong friendship. And Steve has a witty and sharp sense of humor. In short, I recommend him without hesitation and believe that he does an outstanding job. This is my first review on Avvo. And while there are many attorneys who you could hire for a white collar or other criminal matter, there are few with the integrity, client focus, and expertise that Steve possesses.

Being only 22 and never having or using a lawyer, Steven was very patient with me. He knew what I was going through and knew I was a recent graduate. Not many my age deal with what I dealt with but Steven was extremely informative, helpful, and most importantly, he brought great results in the end.
