Mr. Schlaich did a fantastic job representing me for two traffic citations. He met with me and explained the process, which kept me calm in a very stressful situation. Mr. Schlaich argued that the facts testified to by the witness did not prove either citation as charged beyond a reasonable doubt , and I was aquitted of all charges. I would highly recommend Mr. Schlaich to anyone.

Mr. Carl R Schlaich has represented me on two different occasions, and both times he has achieved the best possible outcome for those cases. Although I am not writing about the first case. The Case for which I was provided representation was driving on a suspended license which they made into a DWOL charge. I was unsure of whether I was able to afford a lawyer until almost a week before the trial, and even on such short notice, we were able to a consultation over the phone in which I provided the details of the case. On the day of the trial, a last-minute courtroom change, and thus judge change, was a worrisome development according to Mr. Schlaich. This judge was known to be one of the more strict judges that could have heard my case. Even with this development, my worries were taken away as Mr. Schlaich was able to explain all the possible outcomes of the trial and explain the strategy and my role as a defendant when we were called to the stand. All the advice and preparation are what makes the difference for me, courts and legal buildings are very intimidating, and having Mr. Schlaich there was more than enough to ease my anxieties. When the case proceeded and I and Mr. Schlaich were called to the stand, I was prepared and was comfortable as we proceeded as we rehearsed. The DA offered 12 months of PBJ and I opted to plead guilty and leave it up to the judge. The Judge agreed with the DA's recommendation after asking me a few questions about my income and future plans (which Mr. Schlaich warned this judge might do beforehand) and the case was resolved. Not only is Mr. Schlaich a talented attorney who really knows his stuff, he also knows how to prepare his clients in the best way possible before you have to walk up to the stand. I highly recommend Mr. Carl R Schlaich if you are in need of an attorney, he will do everything possible and then some to get you ready for your trial and give you the best possible legal advice and representation you can get.

I hired Carl and his Law Firm to defend me against some allegations that were totally unfounded. During the process he asked all the right questions and make sure he had the facts of the case. It was difficult for me to Fathom what was happening but he reassured me of the steps involved and gave me good advice throughout the process. Some of the advice was hard to take at times but it turned out that his experience was what was driving his decisions. The end result was that he was able to defend me and both charges were returned with a not guilty verdict. I wasn't worried that the process wouldn't return a not guilty verdict with him by my side. The way he asked questions of the Accuser helped to determine that they were lying. He would ask the same questions in different ways throughout the process and every answer was different to the same question. It was truly magical to watch him work. I know for a fact I will never need him again but if I had to suggest to somebody to find a defense attorney it would be Carl Schlaich.

I have been an attorney for almost two decades. And with every passing year I come to dislike members of my profession less and less (I am saying that only half jokingly). This field, especially criminal law, has become a haven for hustlers. They will say whatever you need to hear to get your money. Carl Schlaich would rather lose business than to steer unwitting people in the wrong direction. He is one of the "Realest" attorneys (with a practice) I have come in contact with. There was an instantaneous, humanitarian feeling working with Carl ! In addition he is an extremely personable attorney. He made it very evident that he was a fighter for his client, and made it clear he would go to any limit (legally) to win a case for his client ! Carl will search out all options to guarantee your case is a success! The case I had was extremely difficult case and very convoluted. A summary of my case was as follows: I sold an iPhone and allowed and individual to use a line on my sprint account with no contract, basically "pay as you go" and subsequently terminated his service for non-payment in a timely fashion. Because this person disrespected me and refused to honor my privacy by staying away from my residence and not contacted me, in addition to hacking my Sprint account, I subsequently filed a peace order against this individual. He then filed a small claims court suit for $5000 claiming that I inconvenienced his life. The District Court of Maryland Small Claims Division suggested that each person should contact one another and try to work out issues to resolve this matter and prevent going to court, which I attempted. When I contacted the person in question trying to resolve this matter, he decided to go to the commissioners office and file criminal charges claiming phone abuse. In addition, the States Attorney filed a second criminal charge stating that I was harassing him over the phone. I initially suggested to Carl that I wanted to go to the commissioners office and file criminal charges for unauthorized Internet access of my Sprint account. Carl subsequently researched Maryland state laws and notified me that there were indeed a criminal charges for unlawful and unauthorized Internet access. Because Carl has been a defense attorney for such a long time and has adjudicated many difficult cases in his career, in various jurisdictions he was able to show me why filing criminal charges for unauthorize Internet access for my cases in Harford County, MD would be more favorable as opposed to Baltimore County because filing the criminal charges in Harford County would put more pressure on the States Attorney in this county to file criminal charges against my adversary and or drop the cases against me entirely, which they eventually did. After I filed criminal charges against my adversary for unauthorized and unlawful internet access, the Sherriffs office did not have suffucient time to serve him with the criminal charge documents for authorized and unlawful Internet access prior to the initial court hearing. Carl soon discovered at the court hearing that the papers were not served to him and instinctively went to the sheriffs office and suggested they serve him outside the court room. Carl subsequently convinced the states attorney to re-schedule the hearing and combine the cases into one trial, and inevitably dismiss the cases against me. Subsequent to this, the small claims suit resulted in the plaintiff not appearing in court and this case was dismissed with predjudice. Carl being the astute lawyer that he is, drastically changed the dynamics of the criminal charges that were pending against me, and all charges were subsequently dismissed at the next hearing.

Carl was the best counsel I could have had for my DWI/DUI charge. I was very pleased with his experience with the Harford County court system and how to approach the case.
