During my boyfriend's custody case against his son's mother, Rachel Roberts was supposed to represent the best interest of his son, whom has lived with him his entire life. She was told and given evidence of how unstable the mother is, constantly being evicted, not enforcing education by any standard, the reasons for her even wanting this little boy were only to gain extra financial assistance from the state in hopes of not being evicted again, which she has been and now this boy is being moved all over the place with random people, no clue where or if he will receive his education, where he will even be living a month from now. He was taken out of a stable home with the excuse that the father had relapsed. The father was involved in and proactive in his recovery process which doesn't happen over night, yet he still provided everything for his son, works every single day, would get up each and every school day to meet the bus. The family support system was strong and intact. A stable, loving home for sure. Rachel was supposed to be representing the boys best interest, but ended up representing the mothers wishes as if there were a conflict of interest. She did not come out to the home where the father and son have lived for years, and refused to meet him and his son together. Efforts were made by the father and refused by Rachel. No home study was done on the mother considering this is where supposedly his best interest would be met. The little boy went from a stable, loving, supporting home , a school he loved and thrived in (honor roll), and a father who has been with him every single day of his life. The hope was that Rachel would see through the mothers true intentions, pattern of extreme neglectful nature and spend time getting to know the real circumstances of the situation, but she did not. She very oddly sided with the mother and seemed to represent the mother. Every reason the father provided why his son has been with him was disregarded, and everything he said would happen has now happened. So, I give this firm a 1 star rating. Rachel only seemed interested in siding with the mother, who has never had him for any length of time, or been involved in, well, anything of this little boys life.

Very unprofessional and incompetent. I made a appointment 3 weeks ago for last week than when I call im told he’s not in and he’ll call me back. Now a week later I get served papers and told I have to wait another week. Now I have another lawyer.

Rachael Roberts was disbarred and did absolutely nothing in regards to my divorce case and since Adams office was the ones who gave me this god awful lawyer they’ve made zero attempts to help me even get my money back from her wasting nearly a year of my life.

Very glad to have chosen Portner and Shure, this was my first accident and they were very helpful throughout the whole process.
