I recently attended Lynx (Private Investigation Academy); Jan-Feb 2023. I was very pleased w/ the enormous amount of information and instructions that I received over the 5-day course. The instructors were professional and patient w/ all the students. They were subject matter experts and very knowledgeable about the areas they taught. They were eager to answers all questions from each student and ensured we were satisfied with the answers that they provided. They provided their business cards and said we could reach to them at any time. Equipment is provided for use during the course if you inform them in advance that you need it. I enjoyed the hands-on practical assignments in and out of the classroom. The training site was very clean and comfortable. Ten-minute breaks were allowed every hour w/ a one hour lunch breaks with plenty of restaurants close by. I would attend their training course again and would love to become a part of their team. I also attended Lynx (Investigative Photography Course) in Nov 2022 at the same facility. I also stayed in the hotel for that 1-day course to ensure I was there on time. The rooms very clean with a microwave and refrigerator inside, w/ complimentary breakfast. My only recommend is for them to provide students with all the course material once they receive full payment from that student. Providing students with the material prior to class allows student to print the material off to bring to class. That cuts down the expenses for Lynx and allow student to have something tangible to walk away with. The course is a pretty fast pace course and they go through the slide pretty quickly. NO one can retain all that information in such a short period. Everybody learns different and at a different pace. Having material to refer to is always very important and helpful. My only other recommendations are allowing people their space within the classroom at this time should be highly encouraged. Though the (pandemic) has slowed down we are still in it. I’m have high-risk conditions so that’s very important to me and that needs to be considered and respected. I took a PI training course at another facility back in 2020 which have since closed. It was right at the beginning of pandemic; I attended class one day, and the state was shut down. Students were later scheduled to come back over the next two to three months to come in to complete one day at a time. The instructions were very minimum. Each instruction spoke about 30 minutes and didn’t provide me with anything that I didn’t know already. No training material was every provided and I was not happy about that. When you pay for professional training at any dollar amount you expect to receive training material, especially for $650.00. The staff was not very professional at all, and they really didn’t care if you came back at all because they had already received payment. The classroom was very small. The owner was a chain smoker, so the entire facility reeked of smoke. The classroom was very small.

I just completed the Investigative Photography course offered by Lynx Security Group. I thought it was a very well organized and thorough course. The instructors (Ed and Mike) were excellent, also. We did a lot of practical exercises which helped to reinforce the learning. I went into it not knowing how to take photos with a digital camera and by the end of the course, I felt comfortable. I highly recommend this course. I just completed the Private Investigator Academy. Excellent course! If you are looking to get licensed as Private Investigator in Maryland, this is the course you should take! It's very thorough and well thought out.

I took the Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Training with Lynx Security Group and it truly was amazing! All the instructors were highly skilled professionals with different areas of expertise- which allowed for a very wholistic learning experience. I was able to acquire different skills and techniques that I can apply in real world scenarios. Importantly, I made invaluable connections with not only the instructors, but also the attendees of the training, all of whom also offered valuable knowledge from their own experiences and careers. I would definitely recommend this training, as well as any other courses held by Lynx Security Group for anyone who wants to prepare and excel in the field of private investigations.
