It was a really long time ago but Rich took my case and as we were near the end, the defendents tried a really sneaky angle and Rich was taken by surprize. I was also. Rich was concerned. We took a recess and Rich asked me, "Why didnt you tell me about XXX? I responded " it never occured to me to mention it" . He considered taking a settlement but I said NO, I was teling the truth so he said ok and we returned to the courtroom. Guess who won??? Guess whose case was published in Legal Journals? RICH!! He believes in his clients.

Although Mr. Walsh is clearly very knowledgeable, we were disappointed by his unwillingness to take a case based on need rather than large sums of money or even to help us outside of court for a fee. Ours would not yield a million-dollar settlement, and did have some twists, but we were willing to pay his fees. He refused to take the case and stated that no one else was likely to due to the small monetary value. Guess those stereotypes of PI attorneys are not that far off.

I contacted Atty. Richard Walsh (Walsh, Becker, Moody & Rice) for assistance on a personal injury case. My 3 yr. old son and I had been struck in a head-on car collision. Mr. Walsh is a very compassionate person. He really understands the dynamics that are at work when there is both physical pain, and emotional distress. Mr. Walsh was very patient with me, but also kept me focused, and my case moving. He promptly returned all of my phone calls, answered all of my questions, kept me informed on all activity with the case, and gave his honest legal opinion on the facts of the case. Mr. Walsh is the consumate professional and I would hire him over and over again.

A trial lawyer's lawyer. Rich cares deeply for his clients. He is articulate, knows the law and is excellent in trial. Part of what makes him a superior trial lawyer is he is a skilled appellate attorney and can see issues at trial that need to be preserved in the event of an appeal. I had the good fortune to try a case with Rich as co-counsel and found him void of ego and easy to work with.

Mr. Walsh is an excellant attorney who really knows his way around a courtroom. He is tough and fights for his clients. But what I like most is that when he is talking to his clients, he is a real person. He does not talk down to his clients. He works well with them to get the informatiom from his clients and let's them know what is a reasonable outcome. If you want to deal with a down to earth person who turns into a tiger in the courtroom, you have found him.

In the course of my 35 years as a Maryland small business owner, my company has had the need for legal representation on numerous occasions. While there are many things about operating my company that I still find to be satisfying after all these years, having deal with legal issues is certainly not one of them. However, after dealing with numerous attorney firms over the years, from the large ones, to the single person practice, I can honestly say that our company's opinion is that we have never ever been better represented than we have in several recent legal matters, in which Richard Walsh was our attorney. We have found Mr. Walsh to be attentive to our legal needs, while providing high caliber advice and not being adverse to thinking a bit "out of the box" when planning our legal course in recent situations. Lets be honest here, no attorneys come cheap. However, our company has been very satisfied in that Mr. Walsh's billings are reasonable and reflect the hours of actual labor on his part in the preparation of various legal courses of action on our behalf. Sadly, this has not always been our experience when dealing with other law firms. When employing an attorney, it should be just like hiring any one else to preform a task for you. Arrange an interview to discuss your legal need/situation, costs, etc. If you don't come away from the interview feeling comfortable that the particular attorney/firm is right for you, it's best to move on.
