They were hired to represent me to fight a traffic ticket. They did not appear for court. They would not answer calls or respond to messages. Terrible firm that should be avoided at all cost.

I retained Mr. Elira for a criminal defense and a Civil suit. Mr. Elira was not only attentive, supportive and detailed oriented, but he explained the nuances of my case clearly and kept me up to date on all the proceedings. I also appreciated him writing letters, petitions and collaborating with the states attorney to have my case dropped and working through the mediation process to have my property and finances restored. When it comes to criminal defense, he is truly a skilled expert attorney and I am glad to have had him working on my team. Also, his office did a wonderful job at relaying all my inquiries and providing responses in a timely fashion. If you're looking for a well versed attorney I'm 100% recommending Mr. Elira.

I had been assigned Mr. Elira through the traffic ticket company Off The Record to fight a ticket i had received in January, Fast forward to today when i had my hearing and he never showed up claimed he went to the wrong court house and only realized it when he got there. I was never contacted the week prior to my hearing the morning of or anything. The Elira law firm is an unorganized firm and Mr. Elira himself is Unorganized, Unprofessional, Unresponsive and quite frankly the complete and utter fact that he failed to show up to a scheduled hearing that had been scheduled for months to represent a client shows his lack of skill and professionalism as well as an irresponsibility in regards to scheduling and planning. You will be led on and have to wait weeks to get any response from the man himself and only by calling the office will you be able to get ahold of him. I do not recommend using this firm unless you want to be forgotten or let down.

Mrs. Colbert is the best at assessing a situation, providing a path forward, and representing her clients to the fullest. With my DUI case, she laid out my options plainly, answered every question that I had which dispelled any anxiety and fears I had going into trial, and fought for me every step of the way. Omg ladies if you ever get in a custody battle she’s the one to call if you want to feel like someone truly cares about you and your kids Ms j is your girl she is so personable and loving she took me in at my worst I felt like I was dealing with my aunt(someone who truly care about what was going on ) just by far one of the most knowledgeable smart and caring people if you want to win she’s your girl and in that court room she’s a beast so if you looking for a pit ms Colbert is it she not going to play games with no one when it come to you don’t just take my word hire ms Colbert you will see you will be more then impressed

The entire staff at Colbert Law Firm is exceptional. I felt as if my case was the top priority throughout the process.

I worked with Attorney Colbert for almost a year (since April 2021). She was great in the beginning, but a few phone calls and emails went unanswered. I had to do my own research to get answers I needed, including using my state's Free Lawyer's Hotline for help. Her cover letter for my MPSA (May 2021), did not sound related to my case. In July 2021, She was unsuccessful in getting a protective order to stick, and did not stand her ground on excluding an audio recording that was obtained illegally and without my permission. The judge denied my protective order and I had to flee my own home for a few weeks. For my limited divorce paperwork (December 2021), I notified her I was unsure under what grounds to file and was requesting another consult for advice and inquired about her retainer for divorce proceedings. She never got back with me. How am I supposed to retain a lawyer that rarely answers emails or returns calls? I made plans to obtain another attorney if my limited divorce reached litigation. My ex finally signed the MPSA after 10 months (March 2022) and she refused to work with me anymore because my ex was refusing to give an address for process serving and didn't have an attorney. I emailed her twice since last Friday...no response. I have since retained another attorney who has empathy for domestic abuse survivors and is passionate about what she does. I believe Attorney Colbert was upset because my ex was difficult, wouldn't give an address for process serving, and also because I didn't retain her for my limited divorce and she in return didn't want to work with me. If you have an easy case, by all means hire her, but if you are dealing with a difficult case, and need things resolved promptly, and have no idea how the law works, hire someone else. I been thru alot and she was not helpful 85% of the time. She was not worth the cost of services. I am never working with Attorney Colbert again and I will never refer anyone to her. 1/10 stars.
