I have been extremely satisfied with my attorney, Sarah Nesbitt Novak. She not only had a firm command of the law and the facts of my case, but, her strategic ability was stellar. In addition, she watched my costs as well, letting me know when the legal costs outweighed the benefits of a particular strategy. Also, she is a very pleasant person. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a divorce attorney.

I cannot say enough about working with Mrs. McCool. She was such a support through my custody and child support case. Her demeanor with me as her client in and outside of the court room was impeccable. While my case had to be settled instead of going to trial, that was in no way because of her performance as my attorney. I am confident had I been financially able to go to trial, I would have gotten everything I was seeking. A very friendly, honest, down to earth person and a fearless attorney. When dealing with custody, emotions run high. Mrs. McCool gave me such reassurance that I was doing the right thing. Anything she felt I should just settle, she told me but also said if I wanted to fight that she'd stick with me through it. She does what is in the best interest of her client, even asking though correspondence how my son was doing. I admit I was nervous until I saw her in the court room, and she is quite impressive. I highly recommend her as an attorney and would definitely rehire her later in regards to a new case.

I wanted to personally reach out to you to extend my gratitude and praise for Ms. McCool. The knowledge, consistency and ablity to get back to any correspondence in a timely fashion was remarkable. The composure inside and outside of courtroom was beyond commendable. Ms. McCool was not only a fighter, but honest when it came to knowing when to settle something and when to fight. She knew when to impeach and when to sit back and let the defendant impeach himself on record. She is an honest, hard working, very educated attorney that took on a case that most attorneys deemed "impossible" or "way too complicated". Her courtroom etiquette, strategies, professionalism, and legal knowledge not only made me feel comfortable and at ease, but it was notably something I believe most individuals would not have be able to achieve. While Ms. McCool may be young in regards to the legal field, I can attribute to her "fighting" power and drive to succeed for her clients, and for my son's best interest. My case was brought upon me by the father (50/50), and would have most likely ended up me paying thousands a month for my son due to hidden assets, funds, accounts, etc. The work she did was so outstanding, that the State sided with our position regardless of the fact that the father submitted for the Child Support. Not only do I not have to pay due to her hard work, I will now receive the child support, arrearages, and attorney fees! Words cannot express the relief, gratitude, and satisfaction I feel. I wanted to commend Ms. McCool for her amazing work. Ms. McCool won a battle that a lot of attorneys stated was "the impossible". Thank you again.

I had the opportunity to deal with Carol James as a mediator for my divorce hearing. Although faced with a tirade from my angry ex-mother-in-law who was not even supposed to attend the hearing, Ms. James handled the situation with absolute professionalism and grace. She conducted the hearing without any difficulty and was able to actually make the whole process less stressful. If you choose to go through mediation as opposed to a hearing within the court (and I highly recommend this method!), Carol James is the mediator to make the process less stressful. I would recommend her to anyone, no matter what county in Maryland they live in.

Ms James made a bad situation bearable. I took the time to meet with several different lawyers prior to working with Ms James. She was perfect for my needs and clicked with my personality. Ms James provided me all the insight and proper counsel. I can’t say I always followed it but I can honestly say I should have. Her communication is clear and she has always worked in my best interest and my daughters. Her experience and knowledge have been amazing over the course of time I have been working with her and her staff. Ms James is a person that I would have loved to have known outside of this kind of need.
