Settling an Estate is complicated under normal conditions, but my mother's Estate was settled under COVID constraints. Steve helped me every step of the way particularly with the IRS. My family is very grateful that the Estate is settled and that is was done at a reasonable price.

I contacted Steve initially for assistance in preparing a will for my wife and I . Steve explained that we needed more than just a will and why. This led to a full set of needed documents including Health Proxy’s,Power of Attorney and wills for each of us . The service Steve provided was educational and a great comfort in knowing our estate was professionally set for our remaining years. When my wife passed away , Steve guided my sons and I in setting up a revocable trust to give me latitude in designating my final wishes upon my passing.I am very pleased with the work Steve has performed for me and the family and his patience in assisting us in arriving at the best solutions for our needs.

In 2003, Stephen Thienel handled the probate of an Estate where I was the personal representative. Based on his excellent performance, I asked him to assist my 72-year old mother in establishing a Living Trust and writing her Will when she moved to Maryland in 2006. He handled this with great tact, as my mother was in poor health, and was very conscious of her own mortality. When my mother died in 2010, Stephen helped handle all court filings and guided me in distribution of the assets to the beneficiaries. The distributions went very smoothly, due in part to Stephen's anticipating potential problems back in 2006. Since 2010, I have continued to employ Stephen for preparation of tax returns for Trust funds established for minor children where I am the Trustee. In all instances I have found he is quick to respond, and offers concise explanations of the alternatives, or of the required next steps.
