I hired this law firm in 2022 for legal representation for my divorce case and multiply motions related to my divorce case. During my initial conversation with Attorney Mitteran Jean- Francios- I felt overwhelmed with pressure to leave a GREAT review for his business on google (I posted a 5-star w/o any comment). After a long 2 year of many challenges- I finally have time to reflect on my Journey as a divorced women and mother of two. Attorney Mitteran Jean Francios and I entered into 2 separate contracts for representation in my divorce case at total flat rated fee of $11,000. At the end, I walked away with basic child support guidelines, retirement funds and a BIG LOSS worth of $11,949 of family emergency maintenance arrears owed to me by my ex-husband. I was embarrassed while listening to Attorney Mitteran Jean Francios speak on my behalf in court. Attorney Mitteran Jean Francios speaks with great confidence per phone conversation and in person "with his ability to GET THE JOB DONE"- but in the court room (doesn't match that energy when faced with a Judge) = I was embarrassed on multiple court appearances: strongly feel to this day our encounter was a waste of time and money. My 1st attorney created a lawsuit against to which Attorney Mitteran Jean Francios begged to be hired as my representing attorney but refrain from his interest after quickly learning my unwillingness to enter another flat rated contract of $10,000 (nothing less) to which I refused citing moving into different direction. I end up wining that case with only $4,257 for professional representation. That attorney and I parted ways with good standing and mutual respect for each other after our case was dismissed voluntary in January 2024. Attorney Mitteran Jean Francios reflects insecurity and low knowledge as an attorney by me within his comment as a formal client and the lost of over $11,000 worth of family emergency maintenance in my case. I often found myself asking this attorney to do his work related to my case but he refused. He reflected pure laziness, section 8 - welfare services once contract was created and signed with high quality fee in my case. ( I'm honestly borderline between attorney grievance commission complaint or lawsuit if you ask me). It’s cost me $11,000 for his attorney services and I lost $11,949 money in my case. Leaving a negative net of $949. Again waste of time and money at the end of the day. Recommendation: 1. Ask this firm to respectfully create an trust account and request monthly statement (as you want to ensure that your money is being spent on actual work related to your case and not for personal interest) 2. Ask to be always cc/ attached into VERY email communication between Attorney Mitteran Jean Francios and opposition counsel (to ensure that this firm has your best interest during communication and also its legally your right to always be inform) 3. Look up any attorney to always ensure that their license is active and in good standing with the boards- before you retain their services- ( Attorney Mitteran Jean Francios= License number ). 4. Before ending relationship with this firm, please request that your file be release you to in a timely manner (asked about fee r/t before signing our contract)- he charges for keeping and time spend to gather your files- dispute his matter BEFORE signing contract if possible ( see attached photo). 5. Ensure and request weekly invoices that effectively reflect factual work being done on your case ( to avoid lack of competency, diligent and knowledge of your case before you enter into a court room as a high paying client), and finally 6. Never trust an attorney that name his full price before even getting any document related to your case and or ask you for a review within the 1st initial communication. It’s red flags that I missed but feel obligated to warm others about moving forward. Respectfully Joycelyn
