If you are having first car accident and don't know how to settle the case, you will have to call Portner & Shure. Jonathan portner & paralegal Amy Patton handled my case with such care and enthusiasm beyond my expectation. When I had trouble understanding due to language barrier, assistant Grace helped step by step through out. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

I scheduled a consultation with Portner & Shure at their Columbia, MD location. We were quickly taken care of by Norma, who listened and documented what occurred during our auto accident. After hearing our story and where we were in the process, she consulted with an attorney colleague and they both advised us that it was simply not in our best interest to have them handle the case - we would make more money by settling it ourselves. I admired their transparency and they advised us how to best negotiate with the Auto Insurer. Johnathan Portner, the Managing Partner, even came in and sat down with us to explain his view on the matter. The man probably bills out at $800+ dollars an hour, but he was willing to sit down and talk to us all day! If anything ever happens, god forbid, this is where I will seek out representation - without a doubt!

Someone hit my car with a stolen vehicle. The whole situation was an absolute mess and my insurance was plodding along the process. Thus, I called Portner and Shure, a solid and reliable firm. This was honestly the easiest, pain free experience of my life. I was in a card accident and I was advised to get an attorney. I had the pleasure of working with Christina Ruhl. She was the best person to have on my side. She always answered any questions or concerns that I had, even if it was a smaller question, she was there for me. I received an even bigger settlement than I expected which was extra nice. They were able to work with me, and instead of having the check mailed to me which would have taken longer, they allowed me to come pick it up at the office on my lunch break. It was the smoothest process I could have ever imagined. I still can't thank her enough. They literally took care of everything. I just sat back and got updates :)

It was an amazing experience. Shure took the time to meet me at my job in order to get my statement and see if I was doing okay. You can tell Shure loves his job and general wants to help. I was involved in a 5 car accident in January 2013. My friend Sarah works for Portner & Shure and advised me to work with them. I was a little hesitant at first because I had never been involved in an accident nor have ever been in court. The accident was clearly not my fault. The folks at the firm are extremely professional from the front office staff to my attorney Christina Rule. Christina took the time and listened to my concerns, answered my questions and took my case to heart. She did a phenomenal job in the courtroom and we just settled on May 13, 2015. With 5 people involved in such a large case it took a while to get all parties in one room.
