With only 72 hours to spare, Mrs. Machin and I met to discuss my case during the free consultation, she outlined scenarios, strategies based on the details we discussed, and we sealed the deal when I signed the contract for representation (digitally - streamlined process). Afterwards, I provided her with the documentation she requested during our call and she provided me with her cell phone number to follow-up with her directly with any questions that I may have regarding the case. I only had two questions and she texted me with responses and a time for a follow-up call to discuss my question and her answer! The day of the case Mrs. Machin arrived, reviewed all of the details, and she presented her final strategy. She walked the courtroom speaking to key people and the way she addressed the judge and spoke to the information at hand was amazing. I really liked Tara a lot, unfortunately she took a new job before I could really see her go at it in court. She showed a lot of compassion towards me and my kids. She was always very good at getting back to me quickly. I wish her well in her new endeavors, but I'm sorry that my ex never had to truly face her in court.

My story goes I thought I could handle my family case alone. I quickly found out that that’s clearly not the case. It a very complicated process in family court from start to finish. Do not use this attorney. He took our money and ran. 6+ months after paying a retainer he had still not started any work for us. Then when fired him and hired a new attorney he decided to send out a letter so he could keep our money.

I've been denied 3 times for disability so far, I now have an appeal. I've lived in way station, and prolouge. Both being mental health housing programs, I was homeless in between these programs and then after prolouge due to addiction issues. I am clean now thanks to my friend who is helping me have a better life. I have legitimate cognitive disabilities, I am slow, do not understand things sometimes. And experience neuro fatigue from my severe traumatic brain injury. I can physically only work part time. If it wasn't for my friend, I wouldn't have a place to lay my head, a phone to get in contact with slater and slater, and progression in my life. I would probably be dead or on the verge of death if it wasn't for him. I also struggle with severe mental health issues that came along with my severe tbi. I'm sick and tired of being denied and denied when I know, and others in the Frederick area know, I am clearly disabled. I have a friend who has disability for bipolar... I have a wrap sheet of issues including bipolar, major depressive disorder, mood swings for no reason, a severe traumatic brain injury with short term memory problems,and experience neuro fatigue. I have serious issues and it's a cold world out there, to have lazy people get disability for small issues.. and me having severe damage to my most vital organ, causing me severe problems. I deserve disability. And a part time job, so I can have purpose in life. This is nuts for me, and I really hope slater and slater can finally help me, someone who truly needs social security. Please help me, thank you

I needed some advice for a bankruptcy filed by my ex that was affecting my house. David answered the phone immediately and was able to very quickly provide me advice on a path forward. He seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend if you need bankruptcy advice in MD.
