Mr Gast stood with me through a particularly tough transition in my personal life. He was responsive with communications and guided me through both civil and criminal proceedings. At a time when everything felt stacked against me Mr Gast was steadfast and reliable. The divorce process lasted a ridiculously long time but Mr Gast was there throughout and I am now happily on the other side in large part thanks to his representation.

I have hired Mike as my attorney 3 times. First for a divorce/custody case when I was in my early 20's. Once for a Custody case while in my early 30's. And this last case that just finalized for a divorce from an all but 17 year marriage. The most recent one lasted almost 2 years, because the court system is still so far behind on cases. My now ex decided to bring his "girlfriend" into our home, with me and our children there. Mike was very professional, empathetic, and aggressive when needed. Each time I hired him, he explained everything, all of the possibilities of outcomes, what I should do to keep my kids and myself safe and protected. I am disabled and currently fighting for disability, my ex was claiming that I wasn't disabled because he didn't want to pay me alimony. Mike got me in contact with James Sullivan, a Vocational expert to speak with my Doctors and be a expert witness. Doing that got me alimony, and saved me thousands of dollars because I didn't have to hire one of my doctors as a expert witness which is crazy expensive. Without Mike and his Knowledge of the laws, I don't know what I would of done. I highly recommend Mike Gast to anyone looking for a great, affordable, easy to work with attorney.

A year and some change ago, I came across the profile of Mr. Gast doing a search on trying to get a divorce in the state of Maryland. I didn’t know what I was doing, I didn’t know why this was happening in my life but I knew that I needed to move forward with my life without my husband and I knew that I needed someone to help me navigate this process. My now ex-husband while not a bad guy just a very entitled guy thought that he could intimidate me in to giving him everything he wanted because we were married after he was the one having an affair for almost a year and the woman he was having it with tried to literally take my life. When I arrived at Mr. Gast office, with a walker after being injured, lonely, and so unsure of my fate I didn’t know then what I know now and that was he was going to take care of me and be my voice. After hearing what I believe was a familiar story to him but was a first for me he treated me with respect and humility. He asked the right questions, in the right way, he gave clear directions and instructions of what he needed from me and what I needed to do, he explained every possible outcome and gave me suggestions for each one and then advised how I should proceed. I left his office informed and confident that I was making the right decision putting my divorce in hands. A year and some change later, after what was the worst time in my life it is now the best time in my life. Mr. Gast did everything he said he was going to do, he communicated with me every step of the way up until the very end. I was able to get a divorce without all the ugliness and I know it was only because of the things Mr. Gast advised along the way. I would recommend him to anyone that asked and would share my story as one of a success. Thank you again Mr. Gast for amazing service and giving me peace.

Mr. Gast helped me get what I wanted and more in a very difficult divorce. I was very worried and scared going through a divorce trial. However, Mr. Gast excels in the courtroom and I knew he was working hard for me and my family. He prepared me for what would happen in a trial and I felt at complete ease even being cross examined. Mr. Gast knew what evidence he needed from me and used it wisely in the trial. Mr. Gast has been a lawyer for a long time, so I trusted his judgment and everything turned out even better than I expected. He has a lot of experience working with judges and knows how to best present your case. Even with difficult witnesses Mr. Gast was able to get the key issues brought out, and I knew great preparation had gone into being ready for those moments. Throughout the trial I always felt that I had a great warrior on my side. On a lighter note, Mr. Gast is a great storyteller and can help take your mind off the trial. He helps you relax just by telling you stories that put your mind at ease. You can laugh with him and trust his judgment. I highly recommend Mr. Gast representing you if you’re going through a divorce, especially one going to trial.

I hired Michael Gast for my divorce and child custody. He was very reasonable on attorney fees knowing I didn't have a lot of money. He is very knowledgeable on the laws and was able to give me several options and guided me through the best options for my particular case. Mr. Gast was always very well prepared and a very aggressive lawyer in the courtroom. He made sure my kids got to stay with me and that was the most important thing. I would definitely hire Mr. Gast for a child custody and divorce case.

First, I would like to offer my sympathies if you are reading this review. You are absolutely enduring one of the worst and most challenging times of your life. I’m sorry. That said, Michael Gast was a stable and sane force when it seemed everyone around me appeared to be losing their collective minds. My situation was particularly painful, because we were up against one of the most belligerent and pugnacious attorneys in the county. An attorney that clearly preys on emotional distress. She was absolutely unreasonable, irrational and in my opinion, unethical from the start. Her clear objective was to wear us down with unreasonable demands and minutia. Mr. Gast handled all of the insanity with a steady hand and mind and sincere demeanor which did, in the end, prevail. It is extremely difficult when the court system treats you like a criminal simply because of your gender and the pandering of the other side. It does seem like there will be no good outcome when you face a biased magistrate time after time. However, in the end, a judge did see the belligerence and dishonesty of the other side. When in front of a fair and reasonable judge, you want representation like that provided by Mr. Gast. Sincerity, honesty and restraint go a long way in the courtroom. As much as I wish that I didn’t need Mr. Gast’s services, he was the one bright light when everything seemed so bleak and dark.

Michael was an effective attorney who understands the negotiation process and provided great assistance to me in a recent case. Michael speaks in plain language and I see that as a great asset given the complexity of the legal process. I would absolutely hire Michael again if I need legal counsel.

I would highly recommend Attorney Gast for child custody. We are still in the midst of this case as we have been thrown every curve that could be thrown. Mr. Gast has worked tireless and kept me at east throughout. He has worked diligently and tirelessly on this case which has turned out to me more that expected. He is knowledgeable, dedicated and very experienced. I am so glad that he is my attorney. He is a first rate, trustworthy attorney.

I know the card says Divorce Lawyer, but he comes up when you search for traffic violations too. From the beginning, he made the biggest but reasonable promises. While others were talking about how to avoid jail time, he was talking about stents, lowering the fine and avoiding points and record. Throughout the whole process he was very professional and despite my first expectation did not over-promise at all. In fact when it came to the hearing, he got the states attorney to dismiss all charges!! He seems to know the judges and seems to be able to predict their decisions very well. I can only recommend Micheal Gast.
