I hired Mr Harbin For a first time legal situation,when I met with him I was very nervous about what was going to happen to me I have never been in this situation before. Mr. Harbin and his staff treated me with respect and put my mind at ease. He was very professional and his rates were very reasonable. I practice traffic law in Illinois and contacted the Harbin Law Office to seek out a local attorney for matter in Frederick County, Maryland. I spoke to Molly and found the office very generous with their time and advisement. Without ever asking for a penny, they offered their guidance of local practice in the area to help my office reach a resolution as we dealt with a traffic matter in a state we had never associated with. I pride my practice on being open and committed to helping those seeking help and I take notice of similar firms; in my experience with the Harbin Law Office, I was very impressed with their service and commitment to putting clients first.

Mr. Harbin is extremely professional and courteous and is very thourough. I had never been in any type of trouble before and was very worried. Despite being embarrassing here's what happened. I had a traffic accident because I fell asleep at the wheel. I only hit a tree and while I agreed to submit to testing to prove I was not under the influence of anything I would not discuss anything further with the officer in part because I had a concussion and was confused. I did remember to ask for a lawyer, which I feel is a very important right. That REALLY upset him and led to him charging me with 13 different offenses, the worst of which was that I was knowingly driving a vehicle that did not have insurance (in truth I did not know) as well as having my license suspended pending a medical review that takes months when I wasn't under the influence I believe as retaliation for excersing my right to cousel. In Maryland this is punishable by several thousand $ in fines and a year in jail. I did my due diligence including speaking to the public defender, and taking nothing away from them as they provide a good service for those need it, I truly believe that with proper planning it is possible to find the means to hire a private attorney and will pay off GREATLY once the final accounting is done. I truly believe I would have paid three or four times what I did to hire Mr. Harbin in fines and even worse maybe spent time in jail. After paying his very reasonable fee it was due to his skill I only paid $153 in fines. I called nearly every attorney in Hagerstown to find a lawyer I felt would really help me not just take my money. I talked to his assistant Molly, who is very outstanding in her own right and she explained how talented he is and why he was the right attorney for me. I was very confident that I had found the right person to represent me even before discussing cost. After meeting him and seeing how confident he was I felt the same and he laid out his plan and it went exactly as he told me. After saving me potential fees of a couple thousand dollars he had my deal worked out before court started and I already paid so that once the judge actually opened the courtroom I was able to leave and go about my day rather than having to even wait around to discuss the case with the judge and make a plea. His work is outstanding and worth every penny and it also helps that he is extremely reasonably priced. As a disabled veteran medically retired from the Army during the current War on Terrorism (and 2 daughters in college and a 3rd starting in fall) I have a very tight budget that I have to stick to. Sometimes it feels we live payday to payday. He truly understood that and his fees meant that I was able to retain him and have funds set aside for the expected crushing fines. I also want to say on a personal note, the 1st day I was to appear in court my grandmother passed away. Having never been in a situation like this I didn't know if anything could be done to postpone my case so I called Mr Harbin's office and explained the situation and he told me not to worry about anything but my family at the moment that he would handle everything. It may not seem like a big deal but the empathy that you had for me and the fact that he handled everything without me requiring even to make a phone call or appearance or anything took a great deal of stress off of me in that time and it's something that I will be forever grateful to him. Mr. Harbin is a consummate professional in excellent what he does and I believe truly that you cannot do better. He is going to be helping me deal with obtsining money on a civil judgement I won a few years ago but did not know how to make the person pay as well. Also my wife and daughters have his info that they carry with them wherever they are in the hopes that we never need him but it's comforting to know that he is our attorney if something ever does come up. If you find yourself needing representation do yourself a huge favor and set up a meeting with Mr Harbin right away.

As soon as I got my DUI, I called a few lawyers to try to feel them out as I had zero idea what was going to happen to me. Harbin was probably the 3rd one I talked to, but after about a minute of speaking to him, I knew I wanted to go with Harbin. He was willing to speak to me for a few minutes on the phone before I decided to go ahead and "hire" him. He guided me, as well as his amazing secretary Molly, as to what my next step would be. It is a stressful situation to go through, but he made sense of things and made things a little less stressful. He was confident in court and he did exactly what he said he would do. I definitely recommend Harbin if you ever need help in the Hagerstown area.
