As the wife of a long distance truck driver you pray that you never get "the phone call." Three years ago I got that dreaded phone call while at the Hospice House. All they could tell me was that it involved a crane and that my husband had been injured while he was getting loaded. I was more than 600 miles away watching my stepdad taking his final breaths and they couldn't even tell me if my husband was still alive. My husband was flown home a few days later with a crush injury. We didn't know what to do or where to turn. We talked to an attorney in our state who informed us that we would need a Maryland attorney. And that is when we found McGowan and Cecil. Mr McGowan, Mr Cecil, their paralegal Betty and the rest of the staff were our biggest blessing throughout this long ordeal. We could not have asked for more hard working, compassionate, dedicated and nicest people. They were there when my husband lost his job because of his injury. They were there with us and for us every step of the way. Anytime we called or came up to Maryland they made time for us. If we had questions, they would answer them. Peter Hatfield and Amanda Hakim did an outstanding job in assisting us after our auto accident.
