Recently I found myself in need of an attorney in Maryland. I'm a retired Florida resident who was on the way to visit my 91 year old mother overseas. I was apprehended at Dulles Airport for a violation that I knew nothing about, was never notified, and never served with a summons or warrant. I was taken to Louden County Detention Center in Leesburg, VA for an 18 year old charge. I would have been able to make a phone call if I knew any phone numbers by memory. No one knew where I was and my family was very worried something had happened to me. During my ordeal at the detention center, I was bitten by a spider 2 days after arrival. My leg turned red and was swollen. I was able to see a nurse but she could not give me any medication and told me that I needed to see a doctor. I suffered with pain for several days and no doctor ever showed up. I was extradited to Baltimore Maryland and appeared before the Towson County Commissioner. Half hour later, I was released with NO bail. The minute that I made contact with George Psoras, Jr. at Rice Murtha Psoras, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. Mr. Psoras with a calming yet commanding voice listened to my case and gave me hope that everything would be okay. He answered all of my questions and concerns. He made himself available for any other questions and returned phone calls and emails quickly. Mr. Psoras and Mr. Austin Cohen strategized together for the day of the hearing.
