This criminal lawyer is the best. She is attentive to her clients. She genuinely listens, asks questions, remembers details and puts forth 110 percent effort. She returns calls/emails. She knows the law and has worked with many of the courts and lawyers in the Maryland legal system. You can't ask for more from her and won't get less than what you expect from any attorney. She won't answer calls or read letters or get interrupted twenty times during your consultation or future meetings.

Katie was assigned to my juvenile's case in Upper Marlboro. She did such an incredible job with representing my son and getting evidence that helped my son get all his charges dropped. The info that she recieved, she passed down to help my other son's case. She communicated with my family and visited my son in Baltimore. She fought to get him a bond to be home with his family before the Holidays. Also, she listened and took in information that would also help us. I would recommend her if you have a small or like my situation, a very serious charge. If i have to pay for a lawyer, it will be her. If we have to go through some thing else, she's my first call. I was charged with a third drug felony and used the services of Ms. Kathryn Batey. To say that I have been caught up in the Judicial System many times would be an understatement. I have had public defenders, hired/paid attorneys and have even represented myself on one occasion. I can honestly say that Ms Batey far exceeded any past representation by any court appointed or hired legal representative. She paid attention to everything i said. She retained my thoughts, explanations and so forth so i never found myself having to repeat details. She explored every avenue in my potential defense, she worked well with the prosecutor—getting me a deal i would never have imagined possible. Ms Batey truly is the best attorney out there.
