Emily helped me through a very difficult time in my life. I would imagine I’m not alone in stating that I knew very little about the “how’s”, “what’s”, and “why’s” of getting divorced. After over 20 years of marriage and watching two amazing kids grow up, I was devastated but Emily had a way of making the impersonal and improbable more manageable. And, not to bring gender into the equation, but as a man and plaintiff in the case I needed Emily’s guidance to help me see a female’s perspective. She was tough and deliberate when she needed to be with a keen sense of the law but she also showed a great deal of empathy my the entire family situation. I don’t know what I would have done without her by my side! She truly was an incredible advocate for what I needed, when I needed it. She definitely demonstrated to me the perfect blend of a strong and determined legal advocate with the empathy of a counselor when needed!
