We were referred to Mr. Karl Protil to handle my husbands complicated medical malpractice case. Immediately upon meeting Mr. Protil and having a short conversation with him my husband and I walked away feeling more at ease. My husband was confident that Mr. Protil as well as his very kind and generous assistant Mrs. Sheila Colvin would not only listen but hear our concerns and frustration. Mrs. Colvin was always ready and available to hear and answer all of our questions and concerns no matter what time of day it was. I would highly recommend Mr. Protil to anyone seeking a well knowledgeable, honest and forthcoming attorney to represent you in court. My husband and I basically did very little after meeting Mr. Protil which helped my husband to relax more. The outcome of his case was extremely satisfying to the both of us. Mike and Sheila made it easy to work with, promptly answering my questions and addressing my concerns. I couldn’t have asked for better representation. Unbelievably rude secretary. The secretary makes the first impression of the company culture to a new client - unbelievably rude, snippy, and brusque. Put me right off.

From the moment we met Jessica Baker and Paul Chung we were very impressed with their knowledge in regard to automobile accidents which happen in Anne Arundel County. They both worked hard to help us through a 3 year claim process which resulted in an excellent settlement and resolution of health care insurance lien. Their poise and self confidence rapidly won over the anxiety that typically accompanies people like me, i.e. good citizens who had never been involved in a legal case. The process of writing the Schulman Rogers retainer contract was very transparent and accommodated most of my special requests. I have no doubt that believe that the the stellar reputation that Protil and Baker have built with counterparts, judges and other actors in the legal system has played an important role in overcoming hurdles and accelerating the successful resolution of my case

Karl Protil is a terrible attorney. Horrible communication and that office moves slow as snails. When my daughter passed (Oct 15) we notified him the NEXT day so his office could pull the remainder of her records. They were not even requested until the beginning of November (something like the 6th-ish) but the hospital couldn't send them out because they hadn't been paid for! I tried to pay for them myself but the hospital wouldn't allow it since I wasn't the one requesting them. The records didn't get paid for til around Nov 17th!! December 13th he said he had the records and would begin the process of reviewing them and hopefully have it done in 2-3 weeks. Jan 15, 2018 I check in and he says, "We have the records, but need to complete our review and see what an expert says about the case. I hope to be back to you with our initial review within the next 14-21 days." So again, waiting. All the while not getting any communication between these periods of time. Feb 19 I check in again, only to find out KARL PROTIL doesn't even have an expert yet reviewing the records!! This whole time he indicated they were being reviewed and they were just sitting!! Awful, awful service and communication!!

Dealt with three different attorneys all very knowledgeable and professional.
